WHO fishing gathering
From the other fishing fred there appears to be an appetite for Block's fine suggestion of a WHO fishing gathering
As such, I thought it prudent to start a fresh post to consolidate any plans
Not putting myself up as ringmaster, just promoting a bloody good idea
Not sure where we go from here , bar logging a name and offering a place for any planning

Think the hard part is to decide on the type of venue and location.

Venue wise, I would suggest an all round commercial lake, which holds a variety of different species.

Location wise, It seems KENT or close to would be ideal location?

Re: WHO fishing gathering
Not sure where or what you guys want to do venue/style wise
But if it’s a commercial you want, I used to fish against Trevor Price in my old match days, so doubtless as he runs Alders Farm I could speak with him and we would be sorted
I’m easy on distance and style, so np for me
Just open to suggestions

Re: WHO fishing gathering

Back to WHO school for you Irish son to learn the true meaning and correct application of zoltaneering (not that anyone would question that jfk is indeed a massive baller)

That aside it’s actually quite normal for people to hire a whole lake these days, fishing has become so much more popular these last 10 years and it makes sense

Brentwood area is ideal - church wood is a decent place but gets booked very far in advance. Three lakes on site.. not really a pleasure angling place though and a bit challenging on the carp front especially given the relatively small size of the stock

Re: WHO fishing gathering
Irish no zolteneering intended in any way as originally schooled in the wrong end of Romford.
Brentwood has some decent lakes to fish and from what I can gather a fair few WHOers are not too far away, seems an obvious suggestion, nothing more.
My wife’s from West Cork Clonakilty way, stunning part of the world when not pissing down.

Re: WHO fishing gathering
I’d be up for this it’s been a good while since I’ve done any fishing might have to dust off the Mitchell 300 reels and have a rethink on my ancient tackle which is around somewhere.
Failing that I’ll have a ponce up.
I”m in Brentwood and could possibly hire a lake for a day as close friends are still staunch anglers.
Willing to travel if it doesn’t suit others.
