Time to drop Fabianski?
Is Moyes waiting for Fabianski to make an absolute howler before dropping him.

Whilst not big errors, he's making mistakes every game. The 2 goals he flapped at against Brentford and the ronaldo goal he pushed back into danger.

I think Areola being younger would have gotten down quicker and kept hold of those shots. Ederson and Allison would definitely have caught those shots.

Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
Fabianski was nicknamed Flappianski by the Arsenal fans when he was there seems that he is living up to that nickname now. By not coming out and claiming crosses puts more pressure on our defence. Sorry but sell by date springs to mind .

Agree totally with this post, he has been great in the past but not now. Flaps and parries too many and does not command his area. Little wonder we are conceding too many goals, time Areola was given a decent run.

Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
Cos maybe Fabianski didn’t call for the ball to left, if you watch him he is hesitant coming from his goal line. We hardly keep clean sheets galore do we, that’s not just on the keeper mind but he should be 2nd choice simple.

Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
you're blaming the keeper for a goal because a centre half headed a ball away yet calling me an idiot? you're clearly a football illiterate and should immediately stop watching

Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
What you on about you idiot. Zouma heads a ball away which should have been the keepers. Watch it back, from that header away they score within a couple of passes.

"look at Lingards goal against us. He should have been out screaming at Zouma to leave it and let it run. Instead Zouma heads it away and seconds later it’s 2-1."

what zouma header? shaw plays a ball in to lingard, who's only a few yards inside the box with the two centre backs between him & Fab. you're again talking shite

Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
He doesn't command his box enough? Apart from the several times that he did against Brentford. Ok then.

I did, watch him. He doesn’t command his box enough, look at Lingards goal against us. He should have been out screaming at Zouma to leave it and let it run. Instead Zouma heads it away and seconds later it’s 2-1.

It happens, age and injuries. I don’t think he is a shit keeper but I don’t think he should be number 1,

Well, a pal of mine who watched it on TV said the same. Buy I was quite close to it and from where I was it came at him like a rocket. I think also he was obstructed by other players and only saw it last millisecond. So I saw it more of an instinct save.

I haven't watched the game on TV so I may think different if or when I do.

Did you watch the Brentford game? In the second half alone I counted at least times he came off his line and caught the ball through a crowd of big, powerful and dirty Brentford players. For him then to run through them obstructing him and pushing him to get the ball out to start another attack.

Fucking glued to his line. Open your eyes.

Spot on. We are overrated off the back of some good results.

Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
The problem isn't just Fabianski, the problem is the team isn't as good as a lot of people think. We have players who switch off during games and aren't able to last a full game. Having a squad of 22 which includes 3 goalkeepers isn't going to take us to the next level.

Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
I actually think Fabianski looks sharper recently and I wouldn't blame him for the recent defeats.
He did say that he welcomed the competition and I reckon it would be harsh to drop him at the moment

Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
His kicking is shit, fab hasn’t been the same keeper for a while. From what I see of Areola last season he looks the better keeper.

Agree on Ogbonna, but I think we need to go to a back 5 for us to look more solid.

Takashi Miike 11:41 Tue Oct 5
Re: Time to drop Fabianski?
'and his kicking is shit'

yes, so shit he almost set up a goal with a great long pass wide right. areola's not much better with his feet, just because he runs around a bit more makes you excited, but doesn't prove he's any better in goal
