Would you employ someone who had tattoos all over their face?
Barmaid in Nuneaton Wetherspoons has got them.

I don't like it.

Am I just "old fashioned"?

She looks like a fucking crackhead.

I am not against tattoos as i have them on both arms and are easily covered up.

But on the boat no.......unless they were to wear a balaclava.

Not got any myself

The one off jobs look awful IMO.

Some of the ones with an obvious design look good, and are subtle and aren’t too obvious.

A pal of mine who is dead now had facial tattoos ( tears, SKIN on his forehead !! , spiders webs etc ) He was a trained ( and excellent ) chef but had real problems getting a job

There have been quite a few cases of people suing for discrimination and claiming they didn’t get a job, or lost one due to the ink.

Recently though its all back fired a bit and such claims have dried up, those hiring can claim they are offended by the ink on varies level especially when it come to the head and neck tats, depicts violence against woman. Black people or the Trans and queer brigade and given a lot of tattoos are of symbols and mythological or religious characters they have a point, or one that cannot be proved isnt or to those who maybe offended?

Re: Would you employ someone who had tattoos all over their face?
Depends on the job I suppose, but clearly not if I ran a firm where image counted with clients.

Never really understood people's obsession with tats, as most get one and then can't stop having more of them.

Was watching portrait artist of the year last night and one of the celebs being painted had been a ballet dancer bit after injury then became tattoo obsessed and had even had her fucking eyeballs tattooed blue.

I mean who the fuck does that or thinks it looks good?

No, never. Face tatts are a sure sign of instability and perhaps mental illness.

In fact I wouldn't employ anyone with visible tatts. But then I do have a visceral loathing of tatts in general.

legible = readable

If he's garbled his sentence by not knowing that, perhaps someone else ought to be his company's grammar guard.

Not on the face and definitely not if trying to appear professional. Just like I wouldn’t employ anyone who came to work wearing trousers around their knees or who couldn’t string a legible sentence together, which is about half the youth these days.

Do recall back in the 70's down at Southend on a bank holiday and lots of proper skinheads were about as well and one had "skins" tattoo across his forehead.
"What's that's on your head grandad?"

Re: Would you employ someone who had tattoos all over their face?
I'm a long term biker and used to be a drummer in punk bands.

Me and the singer in the band (one of my oldest pals) vowed to never get tattooed because every cunt had them, including the women who knocked about with us. Basically it was more rebellious to NOT get any.

Even my missus has a big tat on her right shoulder. I don't like tats on women unless they are proper art and not something they flicked through a book at the tattooists then chose.

Re: Would you employ someone who had tattoos all over their face?
I thought a teardrop tattoo meant you'd either killed someone or could mean you'd had a close relative pass away.

How many of you don't have at least 1 tattoo? I don't have any and it seems to be more the norm that people or blokes have at least 1 nowadays
