WHO Poll
Q: 2022/23 You are the Chairman what do you do with Moyes?
a. Stick with him obviously, he's delivered two good seasons back to back and will see us out of this dip in form
b. If we're still lingering around the bottom three by the start of the WC then that's the time to get rid
c. What are we waiting for 2 wins in the last 20 PL games is reason enough to sack him, go now
d. I've just got my new Orange & White 3rd Kit with Moyesinho on the back, I can't wait to wear it down to the supermarket, they call me Mr West Ham around here

Dean Ashton
Prize cunt on commentary today.

Not sure why he has it in for us these days.

Fat mug.

Re: Dean Ashton
I'm more offended by his commentating partner referring to Leeds as "United" when they are playing West Ham UNITED.

Re: Dean Ashton
Yes he did seem a bit critical of us which is unlike him to be fair.
Most of the pundits are normally very biased towards their x clubs none more than the Liverpool and Arsenal x players.

Re: Dean Ashton
I thought Ashton was having a bit of a pop a few times during that game. Accusing our players of diving etc. Seemed a bit out of character as Ashton usually seems like a player with a bit of time for the club. He was definitely a bit off.

Re: Dean Ashton
Ashton has always spoken with affection for West Ham.

One or two comments doesn't make him a 'fat mug' club traitor.

Re: Dean Ashton
Generally it’s not the pundit who is at fault rather it’s the hyper sensitised tart listening. Some fans when listening examine what is said in microscopic detail in order to take offence often taking what is said out of context. And sometimes they chide a pundit for what is not said or if said it’s insufficiently loyal.

Re: Dean Ashton
I thought that Ashton was articulate and perceptive. Bowen would have been called offside for the Lanzini goal if it was up to the linesman alone, but in these days of VAR the flag isn't raised. Debating whether Bowen touched the ball or not was academic - he clearly was interfering with play. Vlasic also is rather too inclined to fall over for my liking. I am West Ham through and through, but I prefer a commentator like Ashton who calls a spade a spade.

'Don't all players well most appeal for every throw in even when they know it isn't their's, like a natural instinct..'

Yes, they do. I hate it.

Picking your nose is a natural instinct - it's still a fucking dirty habit.

Re: Dean Ashton
To be honest, the goal not given as offside was a travesty, utter joke of a decision. Him saying it was offside was just stating the obvious to everyone except total morons

Lee Trundle
Correct and the attention crossed has got his 6 year olds wish.
Like I mentioned earlier Ashton was constructive and intelligent with his observation. He called it as he saw it which really was an offside decision. But VAR must have seen something that suggested Bowen didn't interfere with Meslier. God knows why,we would of been livid witht hat decision. We got the benefit of any doubt.

Re: Dean Ashton
Vlasic clearly slipped, but then appealed for a free kick.

Don't all players well most appeal for every throw in even when they know it isn't their's, like a natural instinct..

Re: Dean Ashton

He was a bit OTT about Vlassic's dive. Other than that it did seem he was attempting to over-compensate for his well-known affiliation to West Ham.

Anyone who has heard him speak knows he loves the club. He just got it a bit wrong, yesterday. It's fair for people to point it out, but there's no need to slag him off.

He'd have been off to the Mancs for sure

Re: Dean Ashton
So now ex-players being fair in their commentary are being pulled up by Tottenham fans posing as West Ham.....just fuck off Faux Bare......as for thinking Ashton was stolen from us by injury the fact is he was that good he was being lined up at every opportunity to go and join the club he supported.....Manchester United......now maybe you can have a pop at him for backing Leeds when being a Manchester United supporter as well.......

BillyJenningsBoots 11:18 Mon Jan 10
Re: Dean Ashton
I've never heard him say anything uncomplimentary about West Ham.. I didn't catch all the game but what I heard was objective and intelligent unlike Beckford and Defoe.

Can either The Spurs fan or Toad give us an example of his Leeds bias maybe?

Lee Trundle 11:14 Mon Jan 10
Re: Dean Ashton
One of the better pundits out there.

Speaks intelligently, which is probably why crossed yiddo struggles with him.

Re: Dean Ashton
Whenever I’ve heard Ashton speak about the club, it’s always been with affection.
Must be hard for a player contributing to live comments having played for one of the clubs. Can only imagine he tried a little too hard to be unbiased and went too far ‘on the other side’.

Re: Dean Ashton
Dean Ashton on his day was phenomenal. I actually thought he would be the successor to Shearer in an England shirt. That's football for you though, injuries are part of the game. Career-ending ones must be difficult to come to terms with.

Gary Strodders shank 9:02 Mon Jan 10
Re: Dean Ashton
It must be immensely frustrating for him watching us play knowing through no fault of his own he never got anywhere near fulfilling his potential.
He could of been an exceptional player for us for a number of years lmo.
I remember being at Fulham when he came on as sub after rhe injury lay off and it was obvious he was still struggling and unlikely ro be anywhere near the same player.
The curse of being picked for England.

I haven't noticed that he's got it in for spurs at all

Re: Dean Ashton
I didn’t get that impression at all.
He’s just calling it as he sees it, the goal went to VAR and could of gone either way.

toadinthehole 7:32 Mon Jan 10
Re: Dean Ashton
The club has clearly pissed him off somehow. His commentary was very Leeds bias. He reminded me of how Lampard speaks about West Ham
