Is Putin about to make a big mistake?

Lots of talk here that he is about to invade Ukraine.
NATO and the US won’t get involved but heavy sanctions have been threatened and Putin has threatened ending all diplomatic ties with the west.
Latest is that Putin will stage an attack making it look like Ukraine starts the conflict.
What’s being reported over there?
Is it about to kick off?

Next set of presidential elections in Russia in 2024 - apparently while support for Putin and the war remain strong while troops in combat.
But apparently a credible poll has 44% in support of Putin running again with 40% against it.

Thanks Gopnik, I didn't hear about this, everyone I know from Russia and Ukraine just refers to Pioneers. I've stayed in a few old Pioneer camps and am aware of the militarisation of them

You mean pioneers?
The scout movement in Russia is quite big and was pre, during and post communism. The only change they made to "be prepared" was to change it to "always prepared". I've never really looked into the political edge to it.

You could well be right, I too heard about the Jury selection, however Durham has gotten the entire Clinton Campaign heads to give testimony under oath. So the Truth will come out.
Based on yesterdays witness they wanted pay back for what Trump was saying about Hillary’s emails, politics is a dirty biz no doubt but to plant evidence and to commit conspiracy is a different matter.
This lead to spying on a presidential campaign and spying on a sitting President. Both illegal.
Even if not indicted it will spell the end of a career or two and hopefully take care of a few more swamp creatures.
We will see what happens.

A Washington DC jury is not going to find Sussman (or any HRC activist) guilty.
I was watching a video about the voir dire & at least two of the jurors on the jury panel contributed to Hillary's 2016 campaign.
This was from a sample size of 4 potential jurors.
A Sussman guilty verdict is wishful thinking.

Sussman’s team are already trying to call for a mistrial…. Shitting themselves….. Wonder if Sussman will take the stand to defend his innocence? Nah don’t be silly, too much concrete evidence against him.
Looking forward to the testimony of all the big names from Hillary’s campaign…… This will end a few careers, thankfully!

If Russians are forced to dispose of the portion of their military hardware that happens to have a Belgravia/Sloane Square postcode, I fully expect the Chinese to be "very interested" in those assets, too - China only cares what is best for China.
The UK government would love it, absolutely love it if that was to happen - they've managed to suck in Russian money and seize it's wealth, so, in true "Bullseye" style, that's theirs, they get to keep that, now if they can also hoover up some Chinese money for the same properties without that much effort, well, at least some brown envelopes will remain in circulation.
