Is Putin about to make a big mistake?

Lots of talk here that he is about to invade Ukraine.
NATO and the US won’t get involved but heavy sanctions have been threatened and Putin has threatened ending all diplomatic ties with the west.
Latest is that Putin will stage an attack making it look like Ukraine starts the conflict.
What’s being reported over there?

I suppose you think the russians are also shelling the khakovka hydro-electric dam that supplies the cooling water to Zhaporizhzhia as well?
Elenskey should just stand all his troops down and let the russians murder their own troops, this should be over quite soon.
How is the 200,000 man counter offensive to retake all of Kherson going? I believe it started in March. Or the 1,000,000 man army that Elenskey was forming a month or so ago?

In March they captured the plant with very little resistance, installed a military defence unit there and carried on operating the plant (the biggest in Europe).
Recently Russian or allied forces started to connect the "ZNPP to the Russian controlled grid serving southern Zaporizhiya and Kherson as well as Crimea.
Having achieved this significant strategic advantage, the russians then started to shell their own people, the power supply to the regions they want to control and even attacked their own military.
Meanwhile, the G7 is demanding Russia hands over the plant to Ukraine or a peace-keeping farce"

Russia has begun withdrawing troops across a key river to escape a Ukrainian counter offensive, Ukrainian officials claimed yesterday.
Vitaly Kim, the governor of Mykolayiv district, said the entire Russian command staff was retreating from the west bank of the Dnipro river that flows through the occupied city of Kherson in the south east.
If confirmed, that would leave an estimated 20,000 or more Russian soldiers isolated from their commanders and cut off from supply lines by the half-mile-wide river, over which the main bridges in the Kherson region have been damaged by Ukrainian attacks.
“I feel just a bit sorry - but not much - for the stupid orcs who had been abandoned on the right bank of the Dnipro,” Mr Kim said in a message posted to the Telegram social media app, using his favoured derogatory term for Russian soldiers.
“All of the commanders are moving to the other side.”
