What ever you think about Rooney. He seems not to be a total fool. Everton is a basket case. And after a slight honeymoon period the natives would slit his throat. He doesn’t need that shit. Wait it out. There will be plenty of time in the future. If he really wants the challenge. Now if Fat Frank wants it.?

Agreed he has had his faults but, nobody can question his loyalty!

Rooney refused Everton’s approach and remains committed to Derby.

Have to say really impressed by Rooney, he has really stepped up and taken responsibility at Derby and is doing a fantastic job.

Fair play to him.

I know we all get the ump when our opponents score but has anyone else noticed just how INCENSED sections of the Everton support get when an away team score Goodison?
Some of them react as if they have been done some serious damage by the very act. For this reason and my dislike of Mike Parry i really want them relegated.

Please let it be Lampard. Fat Frank will take them all the way to the top next season.

The Championship that is.

Yes, please let it be Fatty Frank. The self appointed "gods gift to football and now football management" will hopefully ensure they go through the trap door.

I used to have the uninterupted version without the comments of the 'comedians' but they took it down. Incidentally, Terry Howard had over 300 appearances for Orient, was club captain, multi-time player of the year and club legend. He was at Wycombe within days.

Lampard now believed to be favourite for the job

Graffiti on a wall at Goodison saying 'Pereira OUT Lampard IN' as fans protest about rumours of Vitor Pereira getting the job.

Everton fans must be so excited at the prospect of Either Martinez or Lampard 🤣
Everton are clueless and never learn, just keep going for names, and then sack them 6 months later.

Got to hope it goes to "Agent Lamps". He should have enough arrogance and ignorance to take them down with any luck. :-)

What I liked about Southgate taking over the England job from the U-21 is that when he arrived, he didn't manage according to a clique-based club culture. He was all about the international set-up. The "club first" mentality that had held England back during the so-called "golden generation" wasn't his style.

He only got the main job because no other fucker wanted it, though, I do accept that.

Rooney, Lampard and Mourinho(!) supposedly in the frame for the Everton gig.

Just give it to Big Dunc full-time.

On Lampard, bit of a tangent, but I reckon he should have gone for the England U-21 job last summer. Not that I'm trying to fill jobs for Frankie. But, casting aside all the West Ham shite, that would have been a good gig for him - and potentially for England longer-term.

As it is, the U-21s have got Lee Carsley. He's reasonably well-regarded, but I'm not sure that's the future for England. Southgate has shown that if you do well at U-21, it can be a stepping stone to the bigger job. Lampard could have done with a settled spell managing the best kids in the country, rather than spending 12 months here and there with clubs that either expect too much of him (Chelsea) or fail to keep him (Derby) when clubs that expect too much of him come a-knocking.

Totally agree. Belgium deserve better than Martinez. Everton are welcome to have him back. He's pretty shit.

Never mind big Dunc, what about John Sitton?

"You, you little cunt, when I tell you to do something, and you, you fucking big cunt, when I tell you to do something, do it. And if you come back at me, we'll have a fucking right sort-out in here. All right? And you can pair up if you like, and you can fucking pick someone else to help you, and you can bring your fucking dinner. 'Cos by the time I've finished with you, you'll fucking need it."

As mentioned Shrek is doing a good job at Derby under difficult circumstances. Besides Everton maybe a to big a job at this stage in his managerial career.......just ask Lampard Junior!

My opinion (not that I have any affinity for the Toffee's) for what it's worth is give the job to big Dunc their players will look up to him (literally) and he won't take any old pony off them......if they did he would punch shite out of them!
