Thx mate. You and Grasshopper are the ITKs we turn to. Look at it this way, you are as accurate as all the other ITKS :-)

Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
Cresswell isnt being replaced. I've said it several times. He is going to be first choice. We are looking for cover, decided that Masuaku and Longelo are not it so a cheap option or centre back that can also play there is perfect for injury/suspension cover or rotation.

Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton is someone I would like to see here but would be 50 million plus

Need to buy him when Brighton bought him that´s where the other 3 come one ;)

Moyes and Newman get on it!

Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
Exactly goose. You’re getting emotional over mistakes made by Cresswell like fans can do.

We all know Cresswell fucked up big time but Moyes knows Cresswell is low on his list of players that needed replacing this summer. That’s obvious. Cresswell was not the reason why we lost our first 2 games.

"Give Cresswell a dressing down but not to the point of destroying a relationship when there isn't a better alternative and not likely to afford one..."

destroying a relationship?? it's not his wife. he's a LB who is becoming a liability and towards the ends of last season cost us games.
God forbid we upset him.

not likely we can afford a better LB than Cresswell? what a load of rubbish.

Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
If Moyes is striving to get us into the top 6 he can’t afford to be that sentimental. Yep Cresswell has been superb for us and can continue that but he needs to have a breather and the new left back needs to know he’s coming in to be a direct competition for a place this may even help Cresswell to perform at his very best if he is indeed committed as towards the end of your career you need incentives to do your best sometimes.

likemydreams, I said a couple of years ago the best thing West Ham could do was to get Brentford’s scouting team
We would save a heaps money plus make money on sales

No not at all goose.

Give Cresswell a dressing down but not to the point of destroying a relationship when there isn't a better alternative and not likely to afford one...

"Occasionally a manager like Moyes has to forgive bad errors if the overall commitment is there."

eh?

it's okay son you keep giving away games, as long as you're trying hard.

Willtell 3:52 Mon Aug 15
Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
Everyone says we need a LB but it isn't so easy for Moyes. Cresswell is a decent LB that has been 1st choice for over 8 seasons.

He made some terrible blunders last season but still plays and contributes to the team very well. Fans won't forgive his blunders because they don't get to pay the price of judging him guilty of unforgiveable mistakes.

Fans only see the advantage of someone bright shiny and new. They don't have to find that someone better on a shoestring who might turn out worse than what you had...

Moyes knows Cresswell is at the club at least until next summer. You don't keep a decent club atmosphere by chucking out senior players and creating rifts without good reason. Ask Jose Mourinho. Occasionally a manager like Moyes has to forgive bad errors if the overall commitment is there. Unless of course you are a top club that can spend £50m...

Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
the problem I see with emerson is he doesn't like defending, so we maybe getting a technically better version of arthur. i'd avoid him

Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
because he's not very good Ern.
Roma - he couldnt get in the team ahead of Digne.
Lyon last season he eventually got dropped because he was poor.

he's 28 years old and has only played 130 league games.
Soucek is a year younger and had played 100 games more.

As for his 27 games for Italy - look at the detail. Half of them while Spina was injured and in a side that failed to qualify for the world cup.
Lots of friendlies as well.

We need a decent LB - not him.

Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
4yrs at chelsea 3yrs were out on loan 2 at roma 1 at lyon where he played plenty of times
As for italy dont bother mate youre looking stupid 30 games for italy you are very decent stop tryi g to pretend otherwise
All we constantly hear quite rightly we need a lb we look like were getting a decent one yet still you moan

goose 3:22 Mon Aug 15
Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
he played 30 games for chelsea over a 4 year period.
he was first choice for Roma for one season, the other seasons he didnt make double figures.

he's 28 years old and has one full season at Roma and one full season at Lyon to show for it. I'm sure I read he got dropped by Lyon in the end for a nobody.
for Italy he got 13 caps in 2021 because Spinazzola got injured - there's literally nobody else to play left back for Italy.
