Reuben loftus cheek linked today - that’s a no go considering the fact he earns reportedly £150k a week.

Fucking Chelsea and their surplus players.

RLC
Barkley
Brojo
Gallagher
Hudson Odoi
Sarr
Chabolah
Emerson

Think we have been linked with all of them bar Chabolah this window.

We should definitely bid for Tielemans.

Even if it’s just to piss of a few on here for showing some ambition.

Here is a player linked I´ve missed from a week ago...

West Ham hijack move for longstanding Leeds target Teun Koopmeiners but face 'complicated' negotiations

West Ham United have hijacked a move for longstanding Leeds target Teun Koopmeiners but face ‘complicated’ negotiations.

West Ham and Leeds have shared some column inches over the last six or seven months and during the summer transfer window.

David Moyes tried – and failed – to sign both Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha from the Elland Road outfit.

Leeds seriously angered West Ham by signing promising young striker Sonny Perkins.

The Hammers were livid about the move and will now have to wait for a compensation figure owed to them by Leeds to be decided by a tribunal.

West Ham have also been linked with interest in Leeds star Jack Harrison recently (90min).

Now the two clubs are being linked with the same player as Moyes and Jesse Marsch look to improve their teams before the transfer window closes.

And it seems West Ham want to hijack a move for longstanding Leeds target Teun Koopmeiners but face ‘complicated’ negotiations.

Moyes desperately needs to sign a number of players in key positions to bolster his shallow West Ham squad.

Two positions he is looking to strengthen as soon as possible is central midfield and centre-back.

And it appears Moyes is targeting a player Leeds are regretting not signing last summer who can play in both those positions.

CalcioAtalanta and TEAMtalk claim West Ham have looked to swiftly move on from their Amadou Onana disappointment by launching a bid for Leeds target Koopmeiners.

But any deal for the Atalanta and Holland midfielder appears to be ‘fraught with difficulties’ according to the reports.

The Netherlands midfielder has long been a target for Leeds United. They have been on his trail since their return to the Premier League with former boss Marcelo Bielsa a known admirer.

However, Leeds ultimately didn’t make their move, leaving Atalanta to lure him from AZ Alkmaar instead for a bargain £10.2m.

Koopmeiners is a defensive midfielder who is just as comfortable playing centre-back and is a real leader having been one of AZ’s youngest ever captains.

He made 43 appearances in his debut season in Serie A and even managed four goals despite being used in his defensive midfield role.

That form has allegedly alerted Moyes and both CalcioAtalanta and TEAMtalk state Koopmeiners was the ‘subject of an enquiry’ from West Ham on Tuesday.

But – as always seems to be the case with West Ham and transfers – things are far from straightforward.

“With just 20 days left in the window, Atalanta are reluctant to sell,” the reports state.

“As such, the report claims ‘a possible negotiation appears very complicated’. Furthermore, they deem Koopmeiners ‘almost unsellable’ with the player a hugely-influential figure in their side.

“The manner of West Ham’s offer has not been disclosed. However, even the prospect of more than doubling their initial investment is unlikely to convince them to sell.”

'Someone like Tielemans' = Not a realistic target

Tielemans if he leaves Leicester....is a very classy player looking for CL football.....

Don't think I needed to listen to my English teacher.....you need to be more specific if you can manage that these days.....

‘Price won’t be an issue’ – West Ham make midfielder a ‘favoured option’ for late signing

By Tom Coast

Struggling to get a deal over the line for Hans Vanaken as Club Brugge refuse to let their star go, West Ham United are looking around for an alternative.

In need of a new midfielder, having sorted out their backline with the arrival of Thilo Kehrer, the Hammers have now set their sights of Seko Fofana.

The RC Lens star was one of the best players in Ligue 1 last season, which caught the eye of a lot of scouts, but unlike Cheick Doucouré, who went to Crystal Palace, the 27-year-old has yet to move.

He isn’t necessarily looking for a transfer either, but that hasn’t stopped West Ham from taking an interest, as they have made Fofana a ‘favoured option’ at London Stadium, according to But! Football Club.

While the Hammers are ‘studying various deals’, the Ivory Coast international’s name ‘is in a good position’ in their books, with a source close to the London club saying: “The price won’t be an issue. At a push, Lens are asking for around the same price as Lille did for Onana. Now, there is a need to potentially find an agreement with the player, but also watch out for the competition.”

As for who those clubs might be, it’s said that Milan are keeping an eye on the Lens star, while Arsenal could also make a move, but that would entirely depend on what happens with Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Seko Fofana is like a midfield wrecking ball. Players just bounce off him. So, yes please.

Never mind all this transfer bollocks.

My GSB OUT T-shirt arrived this afternoon. I ordered it pre-Covid, when they were first advertised and it's been sat, at my brother's drum, along with another load of shit I'd bought expecting to take back to Muscat with me as checked-in. Guess he needed more space to store the shit he buys, so he sent it on

Thing is, what to now do with it?

Dish-cloth or strut about the town in it, thumbs-in-the-belt-loops WHO-face stylee?

We didn't suffer in the group stages of EL or PL with Rice striding forward. The goal he scored against Zagreb was world class. We should never tell Rice to hold back because some people think Soucek has themonoon attacking. They can work together as pivot but when Rice go forward the left back can't bomb forward as well.Visa versa for Soucek. I think Coufal form and injury affected Soucek more than most think. If Ashby takes over in the next couple of months Souceks form will benefit.

Name 3 we could realistically get

Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
I actually think Tielemans is a bit up himself and can be lazy at times.
There are plenty of midfielders who would fit that spot but we also need to sort out what happens in front of them with Benrahma, Cornet, Lanzini, Fornals and Bowen.
We can't have two central midfielders covering the ground they do for the others in front who are not doing the dirty side of the game and tracking back, pressing and winning the ball. The balance is not right at the moment but when it is I think a number of players will look better for it.

Have we been linked with anybody to compete with Soucek since Onana?

Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
Mex - totally agree. I have never agreed with all this bollocks about Soucek losing out because Rice is playing further forward. There's no evidence for it. Soucek is still getting into the box and still getting opportunities but his finishing is absolute toilet. Last night he had a good chance that I'm quite sure he would have put away in his first season but he headed tamely straight at the keeper. He is still very useful defensively but his passing is dodgy and his attacking play is so slow and guileless. We need better. Like someone just said, maybe he should be a CB.

Willtell 3:26 Fri Aug 19
Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
Soucek is really a white Kouyate. Runs further than anyone and good in the air but lacks tight control. Mainly because they should be CBs.

At the moment we need Soucek but it’s right that a more skilful midfielder will gradually take over his place. And I don’t mean the Brugge player (Vanaken is it?) as he’d thrive in front of Rice and Soucek.

I mean someone like Tielemans….

Meerkat 3:02 Fri Aug 19
Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
Plenty of opinions on why Soucek has lost form and every one of them valid .
Last night against what would have to be described as inferior opponents saw him continue his long streak of anonymous displays .
Physically he was our biggest midfielder but from what I saw he never matched up to Viborgs most physical player - that seemed to be left to Coventry who was outmuscled on more than one occasion.
He may be better from an extended rest and it seems Moyes realises he needs that or replacing .
For now he needs to be stood down .
I’m sorry to say but the same applies to Coufal , he is an honest trier but far too limited for a team trying to be regular top 6 contenders.

Mex Martillo 3:02 Fri Aug 19
Re: Official Transfer Rumours and Gossip Thread
Soucek still gets forward and in the right positions, but doesn't take the chances that come his way. Even the "penalty he got" against Forest, he should have scored that, not sent it down the middle where a defender and the keeper where. His passing has been poor, too many missed passes and too many back passes. His tackles and defensive work especially winning headers in our box are still ok.
I'm not sure what went wrong with Soucek, but it's not just competition with Rice. At first we thought he was playing too much, but that isn't the reason either. It's a shame because his first season was great, but unless he suddenly reverses his decline in attack, we need to replace him.
