Cricket is back!

That was shocking. That must be half a dozen innings this summer that a limited overs team has failed to bat out it's overs. There's no excuse for that

Australia have had an Indian spin coach as well who has just announced he is leaving after 6 years.
Plenty of assistants from other nations like Vettori who has a good reputation and Andrew McDonald knows well.

But Australia have learnt their lesson from the S African Mickey Arthur ... he just didnt understand the mentality.
Head coach should always reflect the culture of the home nation.
England seem unable to find suitable Englishmen. Which must be demoralising for English coaches in the county system.
Appointing the coach of the Australian womens team seems utterly bizarre. Looks like he has the white ball teams coordinating being on the blob.

Roy & Livingstone need dropping.

Bring in Vince to open and Harry Brook in the middle of the order.

Embarrassing to have Kiwis and Australians in charge.

not like the convicts would point a Kiwi assistant coach, or anything...

Re: England v NZ Test Series
As pointed out before , in Englands DESPERATION to appoint an Australian coach they didnt realise they were shopping in the LADIES section.
There must be a capable English coach/es who can look after red and white ball teams.

Liam Livingstone is one of those players who looks good in domestic matches but is shot in international ones.

Time he was given a break.

Top order that's fired, maybe, once in 4 games, absolutely no changes made.

Butter strikes me as too quiet to be captain, lets things drift, almost a bit like Root was as Test skipper.

Pant really is an extraordinary player to watch
Missed chances by part time keepers are even more crucial in short form games.
Buttler should just bat

2nd string England bowling line up so wouldnt read too much into this series.

Unreal century from Pant.

The guy's a magician.

Oh - let's not forget that "hands of stone" Buttler should have dismissed him with a simple stumping chance when he was on 18.

Let's get a proper WK in the one day set-up !

I guess they charge what they can get away with and still fill the ground and you do get a full 7 or 8 hrs entertainment.
Was just looking at the S Africa Test at Lords & adult tickets are £70 to £160 with restricted viiew from £45 to £100.
Under 16's are £20 to £40 & anyone over 3 needs a ticket

Drink prices alwys take the piss in sporting venues & these days where you just tap away with a card can be a bit of a shock when you check your bank balance the next day.

Am always suspicious how many of these 3 match series end up 1-1 with a decider
Reece Topley ... England's best ever ODI figures! Wow

Re: England v NZ Test Series
Decent turnout today although we were outdone by the Bhaji Army....It was like Roukes Drift (sort of)...good natured banter,Indian lads were top boys.
.If you think LS is expensive, on Tuesday The Oval it was £40 for 2 large G+T and 2 pints served by some geez who couldn't add up and resembled Harvey Price.
Today at Lords, not as expensive but £90 for a ticket and £7 a pint made it an expensive day, fuck going with a family of 4.

Re: England v NZ Test Series
That was proper pasting. Reece Topley's 6-24 is the best ODI return for England ever.
Coincidentally it is also my best ever fugures (OK, it was a club second XI match but I was happy).
