Cool Hand Luke with his Stuart Pearce conspiracy theories again.
Totally ignoring what the actual man himself said on multiple occasions about why he left.

Probably true that he had been on the Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs coaching staff he'd have put up with hours that resemble a lot of working peoples lot.

I'd take Pearce at his word. He is 60 and has other things in his life and was leaving home at 5.30am presumably coming from Nottingham. Imagine he will take things easy and get a Forest season ticket
I'd be keener if Moyes had a more varied coaching team with maybe a younger face in their. He has Nevin but otherwise its a bit like the cast from Grumpy Old Men. Bit like how Curbishley was never challenged as he always had Merv the Swerve in his baseball cap as the only other voice

It could be that Pearce saw how lame Moyes was in the January window in either making demands to the owners or even players to get in and thought this is where I get off on ‘The Project’…..there is no project as a project needs to have progress and momentum.

Thats the issue with VAR. The ref saw the Antonio foul in real time and thought nothing of it as the whole game the player had been all over Antonio fouling him every moment. VAR slows it all down and can make a nothing look bad.

Vexed 4.36 **Moyes is losing it. He's mentally fragile.**
Yes, I fear that really is part of it. I think... Pearce has been at his shoulder effectively 'talking him through' games, 're what was happening and what to do about it. Pearce probably realised Moyes was getting the accolades and plaudits for what was essentially Pearce's management of play, and decided to quietly walk away. NOW we are seeing the real Moyes without Pearce - the puzzled expression, the dithering hand up on his face like some old Doris in the supermarket, etc. WE fans have realised 'something is wrong' and you can be sure that uncertainty is affecting the players too (especially those who have been here a while and have been watching Moyes 'decompose' in Pearce's absence.) The alternative might be Pearce leaving due to the penny pinching and general failure of the board to fully capitalise on our position in the Jan window. Either way, I would suggest the effect on Moyes is the same. He wouldn't be the first manager to provide little more than the shouting / fear factor whilst an astute sidekick was actually pulling the strings. Cnut me off if you wish, but 'something' seems to be on its way down the shitter, and it seems to coincide with Pearce leaving.

Also that was a red card all day long for their defender. He saves it for the keeper .

I think the problem is Moyes is a very negative manager. He goes into games like forest trying not to lose whereas other teams with top six ambitions will go to forest for three points as the target. Moyes negativity is eventually going to cost us as I think attacking was our strength and with no centre half’s available surely attacking will relieve the defence.

Just watched replay. Can't believe we didn't score also didn't see any interview from moyes slagging of Benny, thought he did ok. ScaMacca should have squared it for him. Why is Declan taking the penalties?
Forest were so lucky.

The only thing the ref is clinging on to it’s the ‘location and number of defenders’ ie, the diving goalie. The assumption he would have saved it is very generous though and I don’t think that giving a cheat the benefit of the doubt is in the spirit of the rules. The benefit of the doubt should definitely go to the people on the end of the foul, not the ones committing it

I do not buy the "on any other day we would have had three", those chances could also have gone into row z on any other day. I do not and did not understand the "foul" ruling out the goal particularly as the defender changed direction to collide with Antonio, at best a simple collision at worst deliberate and a foul. I don't get digging out Benrahma, he had a good, attacking game. Fact is played 2, lost 2, scored 0. You could say that City was inevitable and Forest were on a tide of emotion. But then they would be losers excuses so unless we improve and soon we will be getting used to this kind of scoreline.

By the letter of that rule he should definitely of been sent off It says deny a goal scoring opportunity it doesn’t say it had to be going in

"DENYING A GOAL OR AN OBVIOUS GOAL-SCORING OPPORTUNITY (DOGSO)
Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.) the offending player must be sent off.
Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area).
A player, sent-off player, substitute or substituted player who enters the field of play without the required referee's permission and interferes with play or an opponent and denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity is guilty of a sending-off offence.
The following must be considered:
distance between the offence and the goal general direction of the play likelihood of keeping or gaining control of the ball location and number of defenders"
Only a very generous interpretation of that law enables the ref to avoid giving the forest cheat a red. An equally generous interpretation enables the ref to decide that our goal should be disallowed because their defender obstructed our forward's run.
The ref bent over backwards for them.

Antonio’s ‘foul’ was completely subjective and thus shouldn’t have gone to VAR. They took the view that he barged Mangala but the defender stepped across and blocked his obvious run. Absolute bollocks.
Then you have the obvious red card for handball on the line. Doesn’t matter where the keeper is, that is always a red.
On another day we would have scored at least 4 against 10 men. I actually thought Forest were very poor for most of the game. Signing players willy nilly is going to only end one way

It's not on for any manager to be digging out players for their performance in public.
That should be a given. Say whatever you want to him behind closed doors but that's where it should be kept.

Benny was fine yesterday, finally allowed to play further forward in his proper position.
He’s listed in the squad as a ‘forward’ not as a wing-back, but not surprising that Moyes apparently hangs him out to dry again.

I'm still scratching my had at how a professional football manager can make such a dogs arse of a preseason ans transfer window.
Then compounds it by coating off our best player yesterday.
Moyes is losing it. He's mentally fragile.

Have been as frustrated as anyone by Benrahma but he was our biggest threat and was a bit astonished by Moyes DIATRIBE against him. Sounded like a manager who has given up on him and cant wait to get him out.
Yes, this nonsense about the keeper being behind him feels made up and cant recall that ever being applied before. Often there is a handball with other players behind the culprit on the line and its always a red
