Baptiste isn't in the U23s because he's been involved with the first team recently.

Should have sold Diop and kept Alese.

Why does anyone think Dawson is considering a move up north?

I'm personally of the opinion of letting the medical team decide if Oggy will get back to being the top level defender he was pre-injury.
You never know, Dawson carrying a knock might be related to increase mistakes being made. With a bit of rest hopefully that knock has gone. Why do you think he wants to move up north - are you a close friend or is it something you read on a gossip site?
I'd be more concerned with where Moyes reckons Diop is in the pecking order rather than a poster on here.
In the twenty years or so I've been on WHO I've seen plenty of histronics when we've released youth players, but in that time not one has gone on to make us regret letting them go. If Alese turns in to a top class player then I'll hold my hands up, but the simple fact is if Sunderland are are the biggest club to want him then he hasn't done enough to warrant the attention of bigger clubs.

Get the feeling Alese knows he needs to take a different route. There’s been a few players we’ve had come through who probably wouldn’t have made it had we not been relegated so they got a chance like Anton.
Good luck to him and I hope if he does make it to the top tier as a regular he’d consider coming back home.

It's not a bad move for us at all ffs
The lad is 21, and if was good enough to be a player for a top half Prem club, Moyes would have kept him. Sadly, he's not.
Good luck to him, hopefully he carves out a decent pro career. We have loftier ambitions.

Alex G 5 center backs yes Bad move IMHO We have Ogbonna at 34 coming back from a serious injury. Can't count on him. Dawson was carrying a knock through the last couple of months and is also considering a move back north. A few to many mistakes at the end of last season too. Diop as pointed out earlier is now 3rd choice and we all know how inconsistent he is. Come Jan we'll be in a similar position as the year before. Baptiste is having some attitude problems, not even in the u23's team of late.

A bit gutted at first when I heard this but didn't realise he was 21 so understand if he wants to move on and forge a new career elsewhere.
I thought he always looked reasonably comfortable so no doubt he'll do well in the lower leagues and has a chance of becoming a premier league player in the future.
Good luck to him.

22 in Jan, he has to go and play, if Sunderland have given him the opportunity to do that, good luck to him.
We don't usually fuck these deals up when selling kids.

Good luck to the lad, probably one of the positions were adequately covered.

We've got five senior centre halves plus Rice can fill in their if absolutely necessary.
Unless he is looking like developing into being a top class centre back it's probably better for him and the club for him to move on.
