NFC tickets
|
Anyone else get the email? It's NFC tickets for us this season. This really will stop the ability to share.
I hope you can put more than one on a phone or I'm fucked as my dad doesn't have a smartphone.

I was one of the fans in the trial. Could still print out tickets - which I had to do for two of the three season tickets I have (all of which were included in said trial)

I had real problems with the nfc tickets during thr trial.
Couldn't download any nfc ones till the last game of season, then wouldn't let me in with it.
The qr code ones worked perfectly fine As did the cards

The NFC trial was only for a certain number of fans, John.
Everyone is NFC now they’ve just not bothered updating the website because they don’t give a fuck about “customers”.
They’ve got your money the only info they will make easily available is how you can sell the ticket back to them so they can make more money.

You could print individual tickets last season, even on matches where they were doing the NFC trial

C&P from WHU ticketing website faqs:
Can multiple digital tickets be stored on one phone?
Yes.Tickets can be forwarded, printed out individually, or scanned one at a time through the turnstiles using a smartphone.
So tickets can be printed or phone shared at the turnstile. As you were....

Re: NFC tickets

Your mate has to already have or to open an account in order to get a client reference number, same as would be required to buy tickets in the normal way and which looks fairly simple, then you can just forward him the ticket for any particular match.
I think.

That’s because you’ve mistakenly believe BERKS INC trading as WHUFC give a single fuck about their customers.
It would not surprise me one bit if they did ban forwarding and made trader available meaning they get more money.
Also, a note to aspiring clubmen and lapdogs out there: Look at the amount of work OTB is putting in during pre-season.
THAT is the reason why he’s won Clubman of the season for the last 15 years running.
He’s an inspiration.

All very confusing. I got it from the website so stupidly assumed it would be current info.

Look at the latest info, not something from 2018!
The clue is in 'A Club Cash credit may be made available for use against future ticket purchases during that respective season. Club Cash credit expires on 31st May 2018.' and no mention from NFC!

Here is the official reply I received by email from the TO
Hi Peter
Thank you for your email.
You will be able to forward your wifes ticket online through the ticket forwarding procedure.
This is made available online only.
Please ensure the supporter you are forwarding the ticket to, has a client reference number with the club.
Kind regards
Abby

“No mention of selling out!”
It's a C&P from here, 8th paragraph.

It's almost exactly the same - it is a phone ticket, it's just a different way of presenting it to the reader (QR code that you put in the reader last year, but just a contactless wave with NFC). I assume that in the days leading up to each match the ticket will appear in your wallet, similar to last year but without having to save it yourself.
The Club won't care (or know) who the phone belongs to, so yes you'll be able to save the ticket to that. I'm assuming - I'm not privvy to any info here - but it will be that way.
Everything will be NFC tickets before long - some England games have been since 2019.
