WHO Poll
Q: 2022/23 You are the Chairman what do you do with Moyes?
a. Stick with him obviously, he's delivered two good seasons back to back and will see us out of this dip in form
b. If we're still lingering around the bottom three by the start of the WC then that's the time to get rid
c. What are we waiting for 2 wins in the last 20 PL games is reason enough to sack him, go now
d. I've just got my new Orange & White 3rd Kit with Moyesinho on the back, I can't wait to wear it down to the supermarket, they call me Mr West Ham around here

Gianluca Scamacca Signed

West Ham United is delighted to announce the signing of Italy international centre-forward Gianluca Scamacca.

The 23-year-old joins the Hammers on a five-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year, for an undisclosed fee from Serie A club Sassuolo.

A towering presence at 6’5 and capable of scoring all types of goals, Scamacca is one of Europe’s top young strikers, having scored 16 Serie A goals last season and started twice for Italy in the UEFA Nations League in June.

“I am really excited to join West Ham,” said the forward, who will wear the No7 shirt. “I’ve waited a long time for this moment – it’s been a dream to play in the Premier League.

“I feel like West Ham is the perfect team for me. They showed they really wanted me and when I spoke to the manager there was an instant understanding.

“I can’t wait to play and show the supporters what I can do in the West Ham shirt – I hope we will love each other.”

Moyes expressed his happiness at adding further quality to a squad that has secured back-to-back top-seven Premier League finishes and reached the UEFA Europa League semi-finals last term.

“We’ve been looking to add more strength to our attacking options for a while, so we’re delighted to have got Gianluca in,” said the manager, who has also brought Morocco centre-back Nayef Aguerd, France goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and midfielder Flynn Downes to London Stadium so far this summer.

“He comes really well recommended – and we’re looking forward to working with him. He’s a young centre-forward with a really bright future ahead of him.”

Need to see a bit more of him to form a real opinion. I'd still give Antonio the nod over him, but yea fingers crossed with this bloke.

He is looking very promising.
Looks after ball, passes well and his finishing looks pretty good.
I would be tempted to play him up front and see if Antonio doing his careening shopping trolley thing on the left work with that.

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
Surely we could see them both upfront at some point in the game and see what happens. As when Antonio replaced scamacca it resulted in these long balls and our game seemed to breakdown somewhat.

Added bonus is having Antonio coming on last 20 mins against tired legs.

Appears to have a very decent shot on him and I like his all round play. Has to be starting league games now, Moyes surely can't hold him back any longer.

Looked worth the money today and great to see him celebrate with a smile on his face unlike the moody Haller.

Going to be well worth the investment.

Was probably MOTM last night from what I saw.

A much more effective CF than Antonio, scores and creates, good technique, holds the ball up well, must start against Villa!

Two starts, two goals.

What's not to like?

Keep banging them in, fella.

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
He has taken both his goals really well, despite the level of the opposition you still have to put the ball in the net. I will be seriously pissed off if Scamacca doesn't start against Villa ⚒

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
It’s about as basic as it gets for a striker but it seems like, if we create the chances for him, he’ll put them away. Fundamentally that’s the most important thing.

Both of his goals so far have been really well taken. Good to see.

Unless you're eyesight is non existent. You can see he's quality Mancini knows a good player and the fact he's considered Italys no 1 striker is telling. It was Mancini who brought argureo dzeko and the hugely underated negredo in to man city .

Moyes frustrated the fuck out of me with his post match comments..said Scamaca not there yet and needed time

Did you see that fucking idiot Antonio when he came on ?, Could not be arsed to run, he's an effing liability

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
Has to start with n Sunday. Shit opposition I know but an actual centre forward who can find space, control a ball, good movement either way and can finish.
If he doesn’t Moyes is a cunt

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
I make FCJ correct in his Haller comment, he could be a square peg in a round hole, and no fault of his own if the instruction is to play as a Carrolesque target man

All I heard of his game prior and of the brief glimpses since, he has so much more to his game. I like his movement, dropping off, shooting and distribution, I see a player more in the Kane envelope than Carrol's

I like what I see and hope Moyes adapts to his strengths
