Q: 2023/24 Hopes & aspirations for this season
a. As Champions of Europe there's no reason we shouldn't be pushing for a top 7 spot & a run in the Cups

e. New season you say, woohoo time to get the new kit and wear it it to the pub for all the big games, the wags down there call me Mr West Ham

Moyes Out
Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore.
I'm fed up, we can do much better

I said it proved he hasn't lost the dressing room which I think is valid given the fast start against Brentford and fighting to come from behind against Everton.

I did not wish you dead, you have made that up.

Admit you made that lie up.

See... it's exactly this sort of cuntism that makes you a CUNT.

Leonard Hatred, nice of you to think of me, but weird as you wanted me dead last week. Bipolar condition?

West Ham is Massive, that's why I support and always wants the best from this club.

A smash and grab win was great, but will never change my view in Moyes.

Some love him, some hate him. I still hate the cunt

"the media are spunking themselves over the bin dippers"

Yes, Always! We were the live game on NBC yesterday, but after the final whistle, instead if the usual players leaving the pitch and some post match amble, they cut straight away to footage of the Liverpool win in the TENTH of EIGHT minutes of added on time. and had their cocks out over that for a good few minutes.

Re: Moyes Out
Sir Alf, agree. We've seen this a number of times this season. Eye catching results coming against the run of play, but for every 'Arsenal Away' there is an 'Arsenal at Home' result around the corner because yes against a better, slicker attacking outfit who are on their game, we'll always lose. Moyes prides himself on defensive set-ups but when was the last clean sheet?

I actually do think there has been a bit more pressing and possession from us in the last two games and its bought results. It leaves us a bit more open at the back. but at least it's been watchable.

Re: Moyes Out
Winning via last minute winners or “smash and grab” where you concede the majority of possession and have far fewer clear chances, is simply not a strategy or sustainable over 30-40 games and season on season. Its why we have been so up and down in results. We could easily concede a hatful and not score in upcoming games. Im just hoping we keep getting the “margins” go our way in the remaining games of Moyes tenure.

We wont have Areola in goal on Thurs so will need to agoid relying on smash and grab against Freiberg

I'm not sure last minute winners are a bad thing, the media are spunking themselves over the bin dippers ability to do this, albeit with a fucking huge slice of help from the ref!

Anyone checked in on Keep Dreaming?

Not been a good week for him has it?

2 wins, 7 goals scored...he must be DISTRAUGHT.

Re: Moyes Out
last minute winners this season should not be seen as a positive.
You must be joking, shows team keeps looking and fighting for winner right up till the final whistle,
Last minute winners are delightful and can't think of anything more positive during a game
All hail the Moyesiah

Re: Moyes Out
And also, the sheer number of last minute goals this season backs up the point Antonio made about only being let of the leash for the last 10 minutes. If that’s what people want to watch, fair play. Not for me though.

I’m not sure yesterday’s performance proves anything whatsoever. It was just another complete blag like Burnley away. The fact out social media team are banging on about last minute winners this season should not be seen as a positive.

In fact, the only difference between yesterday and the Fulham 5-0 away defeat was Areola playing instead of Fabianski, with no disrespect to Fabianski who has been a great keeper for the club, but the saves Areola made yesterday he simply doesn’t make. Without him, that could very easily have been another crushing, embarrassing defeat.

If my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle and all that, the point I’m making is lets not get carried away thinking that was a good performance. It was shit, result aside.

Re: Moyes Out
Yesterday's performance was as strange as Monday's in terms of technically brilliant players making baffling decisions, giving the ball away and failing to find the target when in acres of space. Paqueta especially seemed to be either stoned or applying his skills in a very peculiar manner. But then, when you realise they are humouring Moyes, it doesn't seem strange at all.

Re: Moyes Out
The last two performances for me show that he hasn't lost the dressing room which is what I had thought on my journey back from Nottingham.

He deserves to see out the season regardless of the noise.

If we get European football next year then I would be happy for him to decide if he stays another season or not.

It's never sat well with me calling for him to be sacked given what he has done for us since coming back to the club. At same time, he does frustrate the fuck out of me as well.

Roll on Thursday and here's hoping we get to another European quarter final 3 years in a row.

What a time to be a hammer.

Re: Moyes Out
Moyes is an enigma for me. He makes really stupid decisions and often no decisions at all rather than be wrong. Like no striker is ever good enough except Antonio except he then signs Ings as back up!

Players he didn't approve of get shunned and skilled players always end up LW. Youths are never good enough. His tactics are to give away possession and defend deep but then he signs defenders that are weak at defending like Aguerd and Kehrer.

For those reasons he should go but keep winning games and get a long way in the Europa and I can't see the board letting him go.

The only saving grace is that we seem to have dropped the "low block" for pressing higher up the field of play in the last two games. Both wins and now back up to 7th isn't the firing zone but as far as I'm concerned we won't progress unless we give more chances to our young players and stop signing the likes of JWP and Kalvin Philips when we need strikers and better defenders...

Re: Moyes Out
Not so sure, we're in March now and not a great deal of games left, if we stay OK with injuries I think we will be OK, will also depend of course on how others fare as far as where we end up. As it stands now I'd say we're good for maybe 8th. It's true we were fortunate yesterday and not for the first time this season, and Areola motm again.

Re: Moyes Out
Manuel - I think our lack of squad depth will catch up with us. Paqueta as you say was very poor yet we still won which we haven't when he hasn't been playing... Maybe he gives the others confidence.

We again conceded 22 shots, poor finishing and brilliant keeping but before long we'll get another to king with that many shots against.

Re: Moyes Out
Let's be honest many, including me, thought we might be in a deep rut and the season will just tail off, but we have come back with two wins scoring goals, so will give Moyes some credit for that. With Burnley up next week we can really push on in going for a European spot.

Re: Moyes Out
Redknapp finished 5th Moyes 7th Harry over Moyes for me, Harry was a massive cunt, but an entertaining one with some banter.. Moyes is just.a massive cunt, a photo finish with BFS on the cuntery level as well as the football level.

Re: Moyes Out
Moyes is maybe the second most successful West Ham manger, 3 consecutive seasons in Europe and a 6th and 7th finish in the PL plus this season is hopefully another top 8 and then of course that Trophy last season! Not sure hes been the best in anyway though?

Greenwood, Lyall obviously but also Harry! may not have won anything but his time in charge was up until the Rio sale, good value IMO, liked Bilic in his early days and Pards was going well for a while, the rest (in the modern era) are maybe best forgotten though.

Does make me laugh that when we win some who are so anti anything Moyes keep banging on about luck, we lose we were shit etc etc LOL

Re: Moyes Out
This thread won't "stink" because it's not about a win here or a loss there. It's about an approach, style and ethos to the management and running of our club. He could win every game between now and the end of the season with his last gasp, low block, smash and grab routine...I'd still want him out.
