Weirder one than that: the fella who played corrupt and politically ambitious Latino police captain David Aceveda in The Shield (best TV show ever made) is close friends with the woman who plays trannie/trans/whatthefuckever Hayley in Coronation St. They apparently studied and shared digs years ago.
