I grew up in Forest Gate and supported West Ham United since I went to a floodlight game. West Ham were playing Oldham Athletic, I was in the old Chicken Run and Johnny Byrne was playing!! Been smitten ever since. I had a trial for the 'ammers when I was 15 (my claim to fame!!)
I have witnessed many fantastic (and not so fantastic) times at Upton Park. One of the best goals I have ever seen at Upton Park was scored by Martin Peters against Peter Shilton when he was with Leicester, from a cross by Johnny Sissons. It won the first golden goals competition on ITV. Get in!!
My favourite matches were probably West Ham V Sunderland when Geoff Hurst scored 6 goals!! Compare that with last Fridays result!!! And FA Cup Final V Arsenal, Any game with Trevor Brooking or Billy Bonds in it.
Anyway, I moved from Beckton in 1994 to Norwich where I worked for Norwich Union. Ribbing the Norwich supporters has been a fantastic pastime over the last 10 years (My son trains with Norwich City Football Club!!! My allegiance is stretched sometimes. I have three degrees and work as a self employed Management Consultant.
