Re: Chelsea vs West Ham | PL | 31.1.26 | Predictions & Match Thread
If it wasn’t for Traore to get involved in a midget throwing competition, our best defender wouldn’t be missing for 3 games now.

Re: Is Max Kilman the worst centre back in your memory - name worse?
When was the last time we had CBs who could chip in with a goal every now and then from a set piece, Dawson and Zouma.
In our early days with Kilman I was watching his face at a set piece of ours, and it said he didn’t want it.

Re: Bowen
He’s almost trying too hard and making the wrong decisions by trying to do it all himself at times. Too selfish once he gets near goal and too predictable by always trying to cut inside and get it onto to his lett foot to shoot. Every manager and every player knows that you dont let him shoot with ...

Re: Antonio
I seem to remember he started right midfield and chipped in with quite a few goals timing his runs and arriving late in the box unmarked. Then Bilic nearly destroyed him making him defend as well, Bowen seems to be going that way asked to do too much in defence. Then of course that unstoppable force...

Re: Brighton vs West Ham | PL | 7.12.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Another mystifying starting line up, but in the end it purely came down to we wanted it more overall, the sliding tackles, it was good to see from that aspect. But why bring on a young defender making his senior debut with 15 minutes to go with backs to the wall. He had more experienced players who ...

Re: Billy Bonds, the Guardian .. and me
The Guardian FFS! For people that needed counselling when Trump won the election, I could say these people are polar opposite to Billy, what he meant, his values, and against most on here. The only disrespectful thing I can see here is having the Guardian attached to Billy’s name in any way. They ar...

Such a gentleman and lovely fella too if you ever heard him talk about his time at the club.
Shocked by this right now, came right out of the claret and blue.

Be good if we had centre backs that would chip in with a goal every now and then. It was Zouma, then Dawson before but we seem to have no one ‘that wants it’ now.

In view of this time, what do you think? From midfield into a forward has worked well for some.

Re: West Ham vs Liverpool | 29.12.2024 | Predictions & Match Thread
They normally just past the ball around us, so we should expect nothing different.
Let’s keep it compact, two banks of five and get them on the breakaway.
They still seem to find a way however, so you can’t see anything but them winning, but by how many?
Hoping to be proved very wrong of course!

Re: West Ham vs Arsenal | League | 30.11.24 | Official Match Thread
Right from the off the mindset was wrong. It’s like they were told to conserve energy the bigger game was on Tuesday. Too many just sticking a leg out, it was half hearted, we got punished. It was only when we went 4 down the urgency came in as they knew to carry on playing like it a double digit sc...

"Like the first leg, the tie was lost by not only having a weaker bench to theirs, but Moyes later changes. Our boys looked shot a long way from the end and subs should have been on earlier. Moyes should take a leaf out of Alonso’s book."

"My only positive take out from last week was they found Antonio a bit of a handful at times. Could get a foul in the box there if we get it that far! If we can, need to press and put their defence under much more pressure. Are the Germans having lasagne at a Canary Wharf hotel this evening?"
