Re: Stomach Flu
Had noro virus couple of times very messy, had oysters for starters Christmas lunch , later found out oysters carry noro virus if not properly washed/prepared. Haven’t had them since wouldn’t chance it! I know I'm a terrible heathen, but I always felt that eating your own snot would be very sim...

Also when they're product testing dioralyte, wonder if the sadistically try to make it test like Acid Reflux deliberately. There is a product out there similar to Dioralyte called ORS that was developed specifically to deliver comparable benefits, but with an acceptable taste. There are two or thr...

Serious question. Is this parody because I really can't tell? no, he's a genuine dancehall rapper. been around years, and based in hackney. I see. I watched a bit and immediately thought of this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvuxYxmlfrc&list=RDdvuxYxmlfrc&start_radio=1

I find it pleasing that the normally white, illuminated sign outside McLaren's Woking HQ, is changed to orange for 24 hours or so after a win.
I presume they will have taken the opportunity to do this as well yesterday even though he came third in the race?

Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
Was made aware of this recently. Listened to it. I think it's horrible. Lost all restraint and subtlety that that original had. A cover version that in my opinion is nowhere near as good as the original. Shame because I'm sure they could have done better but I'm sure this is what their fanbase likes...

Really sad to hear this. Billy was in the team at my very first match in 1978 along with Sir Trevor, Curbs, Frank Sr, Pike, Cross, Hales etc.
The word legend is used far too frquently these days but he was one, football royalty.
RIP Billy Bonds

Re: Bands whose first album was quite different from subsequent material
Interesting. This is one of those earlier songs that I just don't connect with at all.
Tell me, do you enjoy this 100% sober or does being in some other state help? I know when I've seen them live, many around me seem to be slightly 'elsewhere'?

Re: Bands whose first album was quite different from subsequent material
Also TOOL. Their first 'album' (or is it an EP?) Opiate is a world away from Undertow in my opinion. Tool are one of the very few bands I like, where I like each release more than what has come before. Fear Inoculum is without question my favourite Tool album with 10,000 days second. I can only hop...

Re: Bands whose first album was quite different from subsequent material
I can think of of a few:- Rush The change of drummer had more impact on Rush than almost any member change in any band. The first album was clearly a band still finding their feet and really wanting to be Zeppelin. Peart arrived and the change of direction was immediate and apparent. Still ha...

Definitely not new, but I stumbled across Movie 43 recently.
Without question worth checking out if only for the sequence with Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet and an unusual neck growth!

I must admit I was impressed with the "my skin doctor app", where you send a photo of your skin issue and I assume a dermatologist checks it and either gives you a diagnosis or calls you in. They diagnosed a dermatofibroma on my leg via that, which was a bit nervy as I thought how can th...

Pharmacies are increasingly taking on more of the GP surgeries roles and can in some cases prescribe and dispense drugs for certain conditions. AI is also now playing a part in diagnosis of certain conditions which can be dangerous according to a dermatologist I was talking to a few months ago. The...

Absolutely. What's quite baffling is when you do manage to get a face to face appt there is hardly anyone sitting in the waiting room. As said before our surgery now seems to have moved to an online triage service. They have had phone appointments for a while now, certainly since Covid, which ar...

Re: Could someone please explain......
It seems people seeking treatment have to practically diagnose themselves via the online booking platform and will completely miss signs which a doctor can see but the patient might not. This is massive problem with 111 too which has a LONG way to go before it is remotely close to being fit for...

Even when you finally get there it can be a while. I have been fortunate on a couple of occasions to have seen a pretty on the ball GP who sent me on a two week urgent pathway and quickly had the relevant tests, which thankfully came back negative. My sister on the other hand had two odd years vi...

I must say the packaging of paracetamol especially seems to ward off the possibility of taking too many as well. Maybe I got dodgy packs but it isn't easy breaking them through the wrapper and when you finally do get there the whole saga breaks them into two! If you have arthritic fingers forget ...

Probably the last chance to see the last standing version of The Sweet (Andy Scott’s) out there now, unfortunately without Bruce on drums who has packed it in due to age and girth.
He was worth the price of a ticket alone.

CUNTS!
This is very strange.
Surely in today’s world of close surveillance, there must be some trace of the vehicles that carried out the huge number of individual ‘dumps’ that must have taken place to cause this?
