Re: West Ham vs Man Utd | PL | 10.2.26 | Predictions & Match Thread
We are now competitive in games. The new players have helped and we just have to keep going. I think it will take over 40 points so got to play with tge same commitment and attitude for the rest of the season. If we do, we are in with a chance of survival and that looked impossible 5 or so games ag...
Re: Nuno Out
Agree, Nuno now making the right calls and last 4 or 5 games since getting the 2 forwards and more latterly Disasi and Mini Hulk, we have looked far more solid and giving all teams a run for their money.

Re: West Ham vs Man Utd | PL | 10.2.26 | Predictions & Match Thread
Cruel to lose 2 points like that especially as there seemed no more than 4 or 5 mins ET Have to keep plugging away. Tbf, a draw was probably the correct result as both teams created very little although AWB saved a certain goal first half and tge Mancs dominated the possession. As mentioned, we woul...

Re: West Ham vs Man Utd | PL | 10.2.26 | Predictions & Match Thread
Odds against us again and our “thinest of thin” squad gets hit anytime there are injuries since we only have about 15 players that get minutes. Carrick is certainly giving them the “new manager bounce”. Might simply be playing a system and formation they are comfortable with? Just hoping that some...

Re: West Ham vs Man Utd | PL | 10.2.26 | Predictions & Match Thread
Need to stop their midfield and especially Roland Rat who orchestrates everything for them. Dont think Fernandes and Soucek alone as the defensive duo is enough so expect we think we need Potts to start especially if Pablo is crocked. Trouble is we have looked better with 2 pressing up top and that...

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Driving us all nuts as we keep hanging in there without really getting close enough to overhaul someone. It all comes down to maintaining the form and results of the last 4 or so games. Going to have to compete in every game and hope to blag points in fixtures typically seen as no hopers like City...

Re: Stubbornness — on all sides
The stadium deal once heralded as a big advantage to West Ham has become a huge financial millstone and sees us falling behind our peers. Add relegation into the mix and it becomes obvious that Sullivan and Brady have sunk the club competitively and financially. There is no sugar coating it, the l...

Re: Burnley vs West Ham | PL | 7.2.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
Opinions as always. Magassa can be a decent player and has shown that at times. Struggled in a couple of games but also was decent alongside Potts in 3 or 4. Why Nuno relegated him and Potts to zero minutes, after a couple of dodgy games / results, is a mystery to me especially since we struggle as...

Make it easy on ourselves as fans by expecting no help from any other team is my thinking?
We got ourselves into this mess and will have to dig ourselves out somehow. The odds stacked against us since xmas

Re: Stubbornness — on all sides
Its all “pipe dreams” currently. We have never been a well run or even competently run club especially in the last 16 years. We are a failing business and have been for some while. Its only the fact that every PL club gets 150 million a year in TV revenue each season that we have been able to limp ...

Re: Burnley vs West Ham | PL | 7.2.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
Blimey, we held onto a lead and didnt concede. Defence looked pretty solid except that forst 10 mins of 2nd half but fair play to Nuno he got the Potts sub right to stop runners thru from midfield. AWB was my MOTM, made some great / crucial goal saving blocks and he was closely followed by Mavro who...

Re: Burnley vs West Ham | PL | 7.2.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
Additional risk taking with GK and fitness of Disassi. Im past trying to be hopeful some time ago ( if I ever gad any in the first place ) so we’ll just have to see what happens. An early goal for Burnley and we’ll know. I felt the same before the Wolves game. You get influenced by the table and ...

Thx Feet. But even the Samaritans wont take my calls on West Ham anymore. Im so miserable and fatalistic on the phone with them that its causing their volunteers and call centre staff to start taking their own lives. I talk endlessly about the weak squad, poor planning and hopelessness of the seas...

Re: Burnley vs West Ham | PL | 7.2.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
Kilman starting, cant defend the box for 90 mins. Soucek has to play to conpensate for inability to defend set pieces and the box but will tire last 30 mins too along with the front two. We need 3 goals in games to have a chance it seems? I know we got a win at Spurs but that was a late grab. I j...

Re: Released Mandleson documents contain surprise revelation: This weekend's PL Match schedule (6th - 8th February 2026)
its looking highly unlikely we survive based on our weak squad and inability to get clean sheets / defend.
We need a miracle level run from now to end of season with no more suspensions or injuries and everyone playing out of their skin.
A draw would arguably have been better tonight

Re: Burnley vs West Ham | PL | 7.2.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
Thats not good stat Massive as West Ham come to town. We seem to be “the gift that keeps giving” when it comes to teams on bad runs or strikers who aint scored for a long while. Logic tells us we should have a good chance of getting something. That something has to be a win but this season we have ...

Points to weak disjointed squads that were cobbled together ( with no plan or professional infrastructure ) and managers / coaches not able to get more out of a weak squad. The whole greater than the “sum of the parts” thing. Managers seem to have done the opposite.

It will all cone down to hiw quickly he can get 100% fit. Some players take 3-5 games or more. We have the FA cup tie so seems smart to give him that 90 mins.

Re: The Burnley game is massive now, isn't it
I mentioned on another thread. We’ve failed dosmally in every other “must win” game. Why will that change? Burnley will see us as a game they can win. They will sit back and let us have the ball imo unlike Spurs, Sunderland and even 50 mins against Chelsea. They will also know that we have no bench...

We need proper leadership and someone who has a well thought out longer term plan and vision. In any industry you need a business plan, expertise, know how and experience of how to execute it. West Ham is a failing business to thats the long and short of it. Sullivan wants it to be successful but s...

Not fit, wont be fit in time to be any real value is my current feeling. He will be on the bench watching the woefully out of form, slow Kilman snd think he dannit di worse is the one positive. Whether he does or not remains to be seen. One word, “underwhelming”.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
We have failed every “biggest game of the season” so far and the run of them around xmas. On what planet does anyone think we will be mentally or physically strong enough to overcome Burnley with their crowd feeling its genuinely a chance for a rare win. If its purely a law if probability thing fin...
