Re: Nuno Out

Time to let Nuno go as we dont really need a manager for the rest of the season? Or let this Paco fella have a go.  Start the prep for next season in the championship by giving U21s like Mayers, Kante, orford lots of minutes. Oh no, we dont do thinking ahead This is crazy talk.  We're not remotely ...

Re: The Burnley game is massive now, isn't it

I think the 'as good as down' after every game at this point is overblown. We need to our-perform Leeds by 4 points outof the next 39 available.  Do that and we have a cup final last game of the season. 100% agree though that Burnley is a game that we should be targeting to win as a banker.  The oth...

You are trying hard with these new threads, Stubbo :-) Nobody gives a hoot what this fella has to say. I'm nothing if not a try-hard! :) Also, in my earlier days, I didn't feel the need to hunt around the web for West Ham content...WHO was a one stop shop. Just trying to bring to our community thin...

Re: Rate the transfer window...

Perception on this window is interesting, as it comes down to expectation. January is a hard window to do well.  Wholesale squad change in January is REALLY hard.  Convincing high quality players to join your club when you're 85% likely to get relegated (and they want to be playing in the PL) is dou...

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread

A win against Burnley and we will be on the coattails of either Leeds or Forest or both if they draw on Friday evening.     We've got to outperform Leeds by 4 points between now and the last day of the season to have it in our hands to stay up. Obviously we'd then lose that last game...but to at le...

Rate the transfer window...

So our last chance to affect the run in through squad make up has been and gone...but was it a net positive or negative? We started the window with a squad somewhat 'unbalanced' to coin the Manager's phrase....bloated with substandard squad fillers picking up big wages and unlikely to get meaningful...

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread

This Axel Disasti sounds like another Kalvin Phillips fuck up.  Gets a big fat 6 year Prem contract and set up for life and switches off.   The very last thing we need in our predicament is a mardy frog who probably won’t give a shit about WHU.   If there’s one thing that Sullivan never fails to do...

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread

Supposedly he wants assurances about game time following Todibo's return.

He might have mentioned it earlier, but at this point it's on Sullivan for letting it get to this point.

He's also likely to be our best CB, so just get it done and stick him in.

Re: Nuno Out

I think the Bowen substitution pissed me off just as much, if not more than the Pablo/Kilman one.  Do you know how many times this season in every single Competition Bowen has been subbed? Just once. In that game against those cunts in an important confidence boosting London Derby having scored a g...

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread

The Kilman to Palace story has reared it's head again. If they offered a reasonable deal today, what would you do? Rid us of the albatross but still leave us way short at the back and risk an inexplicable upturn of form from the player as he helps Palace pull away from danger possibly at our expens...

Strand Larsen only scores against us doesn't he?  Massive fee for a guy that doens't look like scoring goals.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread

Axel Disaster has hardly played ? Will take him a few games to get match fit. Nuno will play a back 5 at Burnley with Kilman?   This Disaster bloke cost Chelsea £37 million from Monaco didnt he? Must have had something they liked or they just overpaid like we did for Kilman?  Still need central mid...

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread

We won't get enough quality in today.   Need a good CB and a good winger and a good number 10  Net spend of -£15m is it?  Squad reduced by 7 members  Nice one Sullivan Whetstone did a piece on Iain Dale's blog about our spending....don't think it's as much as 15m....but there is a small profit curr...

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread

Latest is they expect to sign a CB, likely a Keeper since Hermansen wants to move, and are considering a midfielder. There is some budget for 'the right defender' and are looking at loans. Biggest problem is teams want obligations, and we only want options...understandable on both sides (and apparen...

Frankly at this point we're more likely to catch a Palace potentially in free fall than Forest who have the squad and harmony of environment to pull away.

Re: Stubbornness — on all sides

Interesting and broad responses from everyone. I completely understand how Gank feels. I’d love to be back at Upton Park too. But I do worry that phrases like “we don’t stand back and let what matters get decimated” end up translating into flat atmospheres at must-win relegation games and those gri...

Re: Killiwise - The win killing clown.

In my opinion yesterday wasn't the player himself, but the intent and message it sent to the team and the opposition making that sub. I feel sorry for Kilman. Under Lopetegui he looked decent, and he has been a good Premier League defender. But for whatever reason he's dropped off a cliff.   “I fee...

When you play attack against defence, eventually attack scores. It's just a question of time....not if it will happen.

It seems that simple fact is beyond these highly paid cunts they stick in the dugout.

This result won't relegate us. We expected to lose anyway.

The Todibo ban might with that Kilman coming back into the side though.

Re: Chelsea vs West Ham | PL | 31.1.26 | Predictions & Match Thread

We'd be better with this Paco nutter in charge at this point. A guy who goes all out for the win regardless.

The incumbent simply doesn't learn. Every West Ham fan could see what was going to happen in that game. But the one guy that matters thought, "this time it will be different".
