Points to weak disjointed squads that were cobbled together ( with no plan or professional infrastructure ) and managers / coaches not able to get more out of a weak squad.  The whole greater than the “sum of the parts” thing. Managers seem to have done the opposite.

We are third from bottom on merit, rather than being too good to go down we are more too bad to stay up.
