"I've been getting into a few of the Robert Redford Films again. All is Lost is brilliant, Walk in the Woods great fun, along with The Last Castle, Brubaker etc. The ones i can't find anywhere free are An Unfinished Life, The Clearing, The Hot Rock and The Chase. Anyone seen them before I splash out on the these days over priced DVD's for older films?"

That Luther fillum - if it follows the curve of ultra-steep decline of each successive tv series it will be very shit indeed. The whole thing was crap after his side-kick got killed.

I loved the original doc called Bank of Dave. No romance in that.

"I watched Bank of Dave. It’s actually a decent story (based on a true story), and Rory Kinnear is good in the title role. Unfortunately, they decided to turn it into a half-arsed Richard Curtis type rom com."

Regarding Top Gun... didn't mind the original although it was cheesy as hell.... never liked the sequel and that's watching it at huge Imax cinema... plot was too laughable to take seriously .... only thing I liked about it was his P51 Mustang... anyway each to their own and it does seem like I am in the majority... Oh the missus never liked it either

Kearley 9:32 Wed Feb 8 Loved all three... if I had to put in order of enjoyment 1. Billboards (although hated the ending) 2. Banshees 3. Bruges

"Mad Dog 1:00 Thu Feb 9 Must say I wasn't really into it back in the 80's, preferred football to planes, but I too really enjoyed the sequel. Got to take my hat off to Cruise, he does make a good action film."

"Thought the Banshees really good. Great slow pace and character development. Tar - also good. Raises questions. The Fabelmans - pet project for SS, just a five out of ten for me, Had a Billy Wilder binge - The Apartment and Double Indemnity both very good. Sunset Boulevard - sublime."

"Kearley 9:32 Seven Psycopaths was also a cracking film. MM was on a roll. Unfortunately Banshees was dogshit, in my humble."

"Mr Anon I liked In Bruges and absolutely loved Three Billboards, but I was bored stiff with Banshees. Maybe my expectation level was too high."

Here's one for all you softies out there. Mrs. Harris goes to Paris. Heaps of nostalgia and a corny story line...I really enjoyed it.

Watched 'The King' about Henry V which was quite good on Netflix. 'All quite on the Western Front' and 'Narvik' were bot excellent - jury still out on Banshees of Inisherin - beautifully filmed but a tad depressing !!

Coincidentally we watched Shotgun Wedding for about 20 minutes before my wife said “what absolute rubbish” so we switched off and she wanted to see a very predictable Ticket to Paradise. I’m not sure which one was worse but the missus loves a romantic comedy.

"Jurassic World Dominion was on Sky last night, at no extra cost. An ok watch but time to put it out to grass now. It does show how good the original was though."
