There was largely decent police numbers in that period. Plus it was not resource related that Police ignored this over a long period of time. It was a conscious choice. Police numbers started being cut in 2010. So you are categorically incorrect that over a 30 to 40 year period police numbers impacted on their decision making. Unlike lack of trained riot police in 2024 after over a decade of cuts to numbers and losing an army of experienced officers. These are two separate issues and time periods. Is that clear?
