House of Dragons. I’m going to save ten hours of your life. It’s a fantasy show. Written by Doris’s for screaming blue hair Doris’s. It’s has a couple bloody birth scenes. And a few CGI Dragons. Not a patch on the original source material. But it was this. Or the Amazon take on Lord of the Rings.

Just finishing SAS: Rogue Heroes and although I completely agree that this could have been done in a different way and been our Band of Brothers and my god would I have loved to have seen it shot that way it is still a very entertaining series. Jack O'Connell is first class in it.

"5 episodes in, and after a slow start, The White Lotus, is brewing up nicely. Not doing a bad job of selling Sicily as a holiday destination. Some stunning actresses too. Where is Yellow jackets available to view. Doesn't seem to be on any of Disney+ apps etc yet?"

"Thought I’d give Our Universe on Netflix a try, onto episode 3 and it’s seems to be more like a David Attenborough nature program, thought it would be a bit more about the planets etc."

"I am enjoying Tokyo Vice at the moment on the BBC, first episode is directed by Michael Mann and it stars the Baby Driver star and Ken Wantanabe. I like seeing films of the Japanese underworld for a change. I also thought Giri/Hiji was very good and now on Netflix."

Thought All Quiet on the Western Front was superb how fortunate that we were born when we were and still we don't learn with Putin the cnut being responsible for so many innocent lives.

"Can't find anything to float my boat at the moment. Gave Nine Perfect Strangers a go but wasn't for me, neither was The English. Started Season 2 of the Handmaid's tale but it seems a bit like season 1, cruelty heaped upon cruelty. Hanging on for Happy Valley 3, thought the first two were some of the best TV I've seen."

Agreed Jim… thought it was magnificent… and a 100 times better than that joke fabricated series the BBC have done about the start of the SAS

I know its not a box set but the recent addition of All Quiet on the Western Front is really something. Wow what a harrowing but incredible film. You just cannot begin to understand how wars like that and WWII happened and how they were relatively not long ago. Its like something from a different universe these days. Effected me in the same way as Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers. I watched it with the English dubbing on and it was really good esp as i could focus on the action rather than reading subtitles. Dubbing appears to have come a long way from the days of Bruce Lee movies.

"Agree with you, Manuel, re The White Lotus. Though it would have been difficult to surpass the performance of the gay Aussie drug/alcohol addict. Still enjoying season 2 though. Yellowstone 5 is no where near as good as the earlier seasons, but I'll stick with it."

I'm glad that Egg from This Life has made a good living from The Walking Dead.

"Last straw for me with Walking Dead was Negan knocking out Glens eye with a baseball bat, gross and very unnecessary"
