The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
There. Resident WHO political commentators and gurus can knock yourselves out in here and conduct your endless bickering. All other threads will be locked.
Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
People in the northern part of the Island of Ireland/Ulster can choose to identify as
1. Irish
2. British
Republicans generally Irish citizens - Irish
Loyalist generally British citizens - British
Anyone born in the north is free to choose British or Irish Citizenship. Per the 'Belfast Agreement' Both are correct or can even opt for dual nationality,
People of both groups who are sick to death of it all and want to move forward, generally refer to themselves as Northern Irish.

I think you two have reached a point where you're better off ignoring each other.
Either that or get married.

You’re embarrassing yourself here.

they are Irish people in the Republic of Ireland.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
The Internet is going to be ablaze now with people from North and South America about what the hell to call themselves. Look at what you've started.
Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Yeah like every Scottish Person would say they're British if you asked them. Yes, they live on the Island called Ireland, but that technicality won't stop you getting a slap if you insisted every N Irish resident was "Irish"
Bit rich coming from a trump fan, what's your problem with immigrants from the south? they're all "American" right??

Instead of understanding you got in wrong, you’ve wasted all this time and then finally pointed out to yourself that they’re two different countries.
people from ROI are Irish.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Who doesn’t realize that ffs!
I am not biting on this obvious nonsense. Argue amongst yourselves.
Haven’t heard of anything so ridiculous in all my life. Northern Ireland doesn’t have Irish people ffs!
Gotta laugh!

People from ROI are ‘Irish’.
NI Protestants will call themselves British or northern Irish.
The Protestant town of Ballymena will not be calling themselves Irish.
So I’m gonna stick by my statement, I stand by the Irish.
Republic or Northern?
Ian too lazy to bother to differentiate between the two on a football forum. But either way it’s still fucking Irish!

It’s two different countries.
two different governments
two different currencies
Etc etc
if you don’t realise this then there’s no hope for you.

It’s all part of one country divided in two, Northern and Southern.
Not that difficult is it?

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
I don’t think you’ve ever met anyone from NI.
Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
If you ask them if they are Scottish or English I’m pretty fucking sure they’d say no, I’m Irish!

First off calling people from Northern Ireland Irish is perfectly correct.
Secondly Northern Ireland isn’t just Protestant there are Catholics too, I’m pretty fucking sure they don’t call themselves British!
Catholics and Irish have been protesting together.
So I’m gonna stick by my statement, I stand by the Irish.
You really are a thick cսnt!
Out of my depth, you imbecile!
