The English Game on Netflix.

About the beginnings of football and professional football based on history, actual characters and Teams who were the pioneers
I never knew that professional football started up North, mainly Lancashire, and that the FA along with the rules were founded by the elite amateurs from London & the Home counties.

Not a documentary, well worth a watch!

I was really enjoying Paradise but that final episode of the season was a real let down, really pissed me off to leave the season like that.

Yes mate....silly story but worth watching ....He's a fucking unit.
Careful fella. One of the sites resident bog trotters will be calling you a housewife🤣
Must  admit I quite like Reacher. Not exactly Earth-shattering TV, but you know what you're gonna get.
Must've read at least 15 or so of Child's books. TBH, they're all pretty much the same.
The big guy giving wrong 'uns a slap. What's not to like?

Alfs wrote: 04 Mar 2025, 12:13 I agree Manuel.  This season has no likeable characters apart from Aimee Lou Wood and is lacking in the humour of the earlier series'.  It's also rather slow.  Shame.
Yep, she's the best character. I watched the third episode and literally not one plot progressed from episode two. Borderline fucking weird. The three girl friends is just rubbish. Annoying Yank family.

The new White Lotus, nothing is happening and the characters are pretty boring? Looks like one series too far. I really liked the first two before the Swiss pipes up. Hopefully it starts to pick up.

Was chuffed to see that 'the worst man in the world' Richard Roper is in the new Night Manager, which will be the best thing this year.

I think it was more to do with liking Clunes to be honest. Might give Early Doors another go.

Did you ever watch Still Game?

Manuel wrote: 26 Feb 2025, 03:37 I tried Early Doors but couldn't get into it, probably didn't give it enough time. Loved the Royal Family, though.

A White Lotus fan here, haven't started on the third series yet, set in Thailand.
I'm the other way round - absolutely hate Royle Family but love Early Doors
