"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

SBBB - On the BBC NFL show last week they said the Jets were by far the worst team in the NFL. Pretty sure Mark Chapman said his granny could score against us! GO JETS!

"Might have a cheeky bet on the Jets to go 0-16 or 1-15 this season. Worst roster of any side in the NFL - by a street mile. Absolutely shite squad picked by absolutely shite head coach, (past) GMs, and owners. It feels very much like West Ham! If I were Darnold, who is a talented kid (he's in his third year, but he joined us a year earlier than most QBs enter the league), then I would be seeking to move away from the toxic Jets unless they back him with some talent, a decent head coach (Gase is beyond a joke) and a decent quarterbacks coach. Darnold, for all of his obvious talent, has not progressed at all in the past 12 months. Which, when you're still learning, does not bode well. He's not learning because he has absolutely nobody around him to team him well. He will sink, with the Jets, if he stays - unless Gase is sacked and the replacements include a first-class offensive mind (and one used to coaching QBs). In the meantime, we're royally fucked for yet another year. But, as with West Ham, I can't see anything fundamental changing at the Jets until the ownership either changes - or they swallow their pride and give a proper head coach and GM the power and assets with which to build something solid. Rudderless, gutless, clueless franchise at the moment. It all feels like the Rich Kotite-era again! Definitely get your money on Gase to be the first HC out the door this season. Even he is running out of excuses (and he has many excuses) - at some point he simply has to accept that he is not a head coach. The cheap option (which will no doubt be the one chosen by our cheapskate owners) will be to appoint DC Gregg Williams as HC whenever Gase goes. That wouldn't be so bad as an interim appointment. Zero confidence that any of this will happen when it should: tomorrow!"

"Grumps, we beat two bad teams with our back ups. So two good wins on the road. Philly then Miami up next, got a good chance if being 4-1, we have 3 weeks to get healthy, Jimmy G, Kittle, Mostert, Deebo and Sherman should all be back for the Rams game. Let's hope we don't get any more significant injuries we've already had more than our fair share. Once healthy we will still be the best in the west...Difference is our offense will be what wins us games this year as opposed to our dominant D."

"I had a tenner on Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb and James Connor all to score touchdowns. Was boosted to 11/2. Better than nothing."

Grumpster 11:14 Sun Sep 27 It is West Ham-like. I started McKinnon and it began great but apparently he picked up a rib injury and did nothing in the second half.

The falcons are doing it again! They were 16 points up with 5 minutes left. They're now trailing by 4 with 90 seconds to go

Great wins for the Niners and Bill's today. Nick Mullens is a solid back up.
