I am left leaning and did not agree with most of what Margaret Thatcher did (the single market was her brainchild) but at least they had a grip of the task in hand a lot of the time and she and her government had a plan. Even Cameron sort of had one even though we are still feeling austerity now but the last four PMs and their administrations appear not to have any idea what they are doing beyond the end the current press cycle.
