Anxiety/depression
"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?
"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

Re: Anxiety/depression
"My Dad suffered big time, think in the end, along with stress its what killed him even though it was put down to a heart attack. Thankfully I have never had it as bad but do go through bouts now and then, think more people that we realise do! One thing that has helped me is staying very fit, I exorcise a lot, run, go to gym etc, and can honestly say it has helped, keeps the dog at bay as it were, but it still surfaces now and then, but as I said thankfully not as bad as my Dad. Good luck getting through he bad times, think if you accept they happen from time to time, that helps as well."

"The only thing that I've seen consistently work for various people is running. Starting exercise is hard when you're depressed of course, but make yourself for a couple of weeks then you'll probably notice a change. Come off social media for a while too, doesn't help witnessing everyone's (mostly fake) happy version of themselves. And don't drink, feeling ok short term does not help"

"Sorry you are struggling with this, it sucks. I'd go to GP as first port of call though before you do.anything else as there may be a physical.cause of your depression,, underactive thyroid. Also contact MIND, i volunteered with them and they are excellent, really supportive ."
