Anxiety/depression
"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?
"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

Re: Anxiety/depression
Tonight is the night My mother arrived and she looked after my son and my wife and said I'm a cսnt I'm a hero for lasting this long. I told them if they sectioned me I'd chew the gun off the police man to make him shoot me. I have a German friend who is flying in tomorrow. He is loaded and giving me hope. Can I borrow 70 quid off anyone to get blitzed enough to want to wait. My son is safe. He is with my mum.. im not pretending.. whofund? 70 quid? Please man. Please please. I'm so fuxked. If I survive and u hear my story it will blow ur mind. I need to get better.

"Mace I hardly use Instagram anymore for that reason. I kept seeing people and their great lives, fit girlfriends etc etc.It fucks with your head and made me start to question what I am doing with my life and if my girlfriend is the right one for me (no link sorry). As soon as you don't see it, you realise everything is alright!"
Re: Anxiety/depression
"at my darkest point, about 6 years ago, i didn't use a phone or a computer for 4 weeks You don't see what a ' great life ' everyone's having and don't compare it to the shit you're going through It's good therapy"
Re: Anxiety/depression
"Hope he’s doing ok I’ve said before on here loads of times, I wouldn’t wish depression on anyone"

"Good to hear on the other thread that a couple have made contact with Pentonville. (well done Block and Crassus). Let’s hope you read all the recent msgs pentonville and know that most on ere (bar a few) are concerned for your welfare and are understanding and good listeners if and when you need to contact them. You may think it’s easy for others to say ‘keep positive’ but it is genuine, as a lot of us ave been/are going through darker times. I’m sure you’ll turn it round, just like our great club has! Up the ‘ammers! All the Best."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"I suppose it's benefited me being on my away from my family going through this for just over 2 and a half years. (No links for the following) My sisters, brother, and daughter have been very supportive and now my 2 kids are here and working I still have my days where I don't want to be here as in alive. It's my Buddhist way of thinking that everything in life is temporary and want is the cause of suffering as are our attachments to life I like listening to the late Christopher Hitchens debate religion. One scientist in the debate said that they still do not know what consciousness is and if our brains are transmitters or recievers of it."

Re: Anxiety/depression
Its not really my place to comment on your private life but you are viewing everything from the perspective of a person suffering from depression
Re: Anxiety/depression
"Cheers guys Had a chat with a different Gp from normal, she’s giving me some different pills. To be honest, she was Chinese and I found her quite difficult to understand on a crackly phone. She’s recommended the usual talking therapies but warned that there’s a huge waiting list because loads of people are suffering right now My issue really is the impact I’m having on my family. I think I’ve said before in here that I feel like, with people in general, you get one shot at the ‘I’ve got mental health problems’ line - you get sympathy the first time, when it recurs that sympathy doesn’t come back. My wife has had enough of dealing with me, and I dont blame her. I go in an awful downward spiral and I’m impossible to deal with and utterly useless for anything - she ends up essentially being a single parent. That then impacts on my children. As my Gp said, you can’t really help anyone else or make them happy if you aren’t helping yourself or making yourself happy. But I think the patience and willingness for that to happen has really gone now - other people can’t put their lives on hold for you to get better, and I know my wife has, understandably, had enough of me now"

Re: Anxiety/depression
Sniper make sure any meeting requests are not between the hours of your appointment.....you first son....otherwise the work could go proper south at a later date if you don't get to try to nip this in the bud......
Re: Anxiety/depression
"Sniper, just remember the reasons you're speaking to the doctors mate, It's a huge hassle as the receptionists are usually horrible cunts and just want you off the phone, but try remember the reasons you're reaching out for help and persist with it - as it'll be worth it. Keep us posted mate!"
Re: Anxiety/depression
"Thanks guys Brilliantly, I missed the call from the Gp and they left a message telling me to call back. So is did. And was told to call back today as they didn’t have any appointments. So i did. And was told to call back on Monday as they didn’t have any appointments this week I think my Gp must’ve given the receptionists a kick up the arse as they called back this afternoon and I have a telephone appointment for tomorrow morning. Just hope I’m not in a meeting when it comes as it’s ‘any time between 8 and 12’, as if tackling your mental health is the same as waiting for a delivery Shambles really - you can see how some people would just give up. I’m feeling pretty rock bottom and, last time this happened, no way would I have called them back three times because they can’t read notes properly"
