Anxiety/depression
"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?
"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

Not the place dicko. Not funny. So gents. I flew back to France yesterday but realise it ain't for me anymore. I'm gonna fly back tonight. I immediately had a drink here. So this is my question. Does anyone have a car they want to sell for about 400.00 that runs. It can be a banger. It will be a banger. But don't sell me a wrong un. I need a car and I have 400 quid when I land

Re: Anxiety/depression
"If you can see ""alone"" as being a chance to plan your next few weeks then that's a positive. Try to focus on what YOU want to do, not what you think others expect you to do. Last thing you do before going to bed is plan your next day's activities, even the basic & mundane things; write them down - on the back of an old fag packet if necessary - and try to get in to the habit of doing that every night. Why? Because you can start ticking them off, one by one. Even the trivial stuff gains importance when viewed as a success. Prepares you for the bigger items. Best of luck."

Re: Anxiety/depression
Side you are correct. I don't recall the bad moments she mentions so I act holier than thou. It's not an excuse. I know I fucked up. I blacked out. So much so I lost my marriage of 7 years. Anyway I'm going back to France tonight. I will need help the next few days from anyone who has my number as its the first time I've been alone. I couldn't get a job and couldn't get a spare room..I been offered loads but I couldn't lower myself. One of them was a 24 Yr old pikey woman who basically said if I protect her from her ex I can stay for free and fuxk her. It's It's crazy world out there. I'm going back to France to find out if I can live alone or not. If not it will be a car crash and I'll be home in next few days. Whoever has my number please say hello. I'm alone

Re: Anxiety/depression
"The problem Pentonville may have is that it sounds like he had unbalanced moments with complete black outs of it and only his wife would have seen them and what he did or said. I'm not trying to stick up for the wife (far from it) it just might help Pentonville understand it a bit more and be less annoyed at her actions so far. I only know this might be the case because I was brought up on drunken episodes from my dad which only me my mum & brother witnessed and lets just say it wasn't good even with just the drink problem and in the end us keeping it to ourselves didn't help either. Like others have said concentrate on yourself first and try to get rid of those things that may make you unpredictable, it's that predictable loving fella your son needs and hero worships....and your wife needs to know this as well. Then many bridges can possibly be rebuilt. This whole site is used as an alternative to socialising down the pub so use it as much as possible if it helps you get where you want to be in yourself."
Re: Anxiety/depression
"Pentonville, has your missus given any more explanation other than she doesn’t think you’re good for him. Probably owes you a bit more than that I agree with others, try to focus on yourself for a bit. Get yourself right and hopefully the rest will fall into place"

"Pentonville 10:19 Thu Feb 10 It's not unusual for some women to use your kid against you just to be cunts my ex, from, Peckham was like that. Keep the texts go your local citizen's advice and they will open a file for you. I know you must be fuming I know I would be but try not to rise to bait she is just trying to wind you up mate"

"Just thought I'd check in. So things took an unexpected but fantastic turn for me over the last week, got offered a new job closer to home for a lot more money which I start early March. Absolutely shattered as the little one is keeping us up, but life is pretty good for a change! Penters, your son adores you. What is happening to you is sickening mate and I am sorry I'm not of much help as I don't know what to suggest. Good news on the job front though mate and something to keep you busy."

"Pentonville 10:19 Thu Feb 10 WHO mail later. I had a similar experience and got through it. It will take me some time and work is pretty busy today so bear with me. The important immediate takeaway from this is you need to CONTINUE to work on self and minimise your focus on this. That's the long ball game. Presenting yourself as the boys Dad, a safe pair of hands and someone he will not only want to spend time with but will benefit him doing so."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"Just to let you know, my wife's weird nice behaviour was for a reason. Today she emptied our storage and made sure I closed the France account down which I confirmed yesterday and then this morning I wake up to a message saying this weekend is my last weekend with raff as she doesn't think he is happy seeing me and we now must go to court. I knew it. Knew she was planning stuff. Certainly people on here have seen me with my son. He loves me. I'm his hero. I was stay at home dad. I got offered a job yesterday as estate manager for a retirement complex whislt battling depression and suicidal thoughts which I'm taking cbt for. She sends evil texts and is now on benefits doing 8 hours work a week and getting 3k in benefits.means she is at home most of week and of course my 35k job which is 2400 a month net means I'm doing Monday to Friday. So can't see my son..how is this allowed? A ponce wins? U lot don't realise I've been fucked over. Its a heist."

"I remember you telling me about the Tsunami experience on one of our meetings 67, did think at the time it must have been horrendous but you seemed to have dealt with it very well, almost sounded a bit of an adventure, maybe it was buried and you subconsciously blocked that horror side of it out, no expert on such things but have read of people getting the flashbacks, dreams etc and realising what they had seen or experienced and had gone through often years later. Stay strong mate, one day at a time, and happy birthday."

Re: Anxiety/depression
I did have a bit of that on Sunday I thought I would email him and say I will be ok in a month I have private heath insurance. I draughted the email and did not send it. I need to get better before I throw away the most stress free job I have had in a very long time. One of them was the Boxing day 2004 Tsunami Patong beach we were 50 meters from the carnage but we saw a lot of death and destruction. It was weird when I got back to Taiwan and saw the death toll rise 250 000. She (No link) asked a few questions and she said I have PTSD. I do dream about the sea quite frequently but I never though about it

"67 Smart move to recognise that the roles are the right role but wrong time in your journey and nice that there was follow up. Even when mental health and environment are not a factor people often make bad decisions based on FOMO further down the line, mature and brave on your part."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"Free advice (Might be relevant, might not) Get to the point where you can view and love and respect your Ex/estranged partner(Not sure if we are using that term yet) as the mother and fellow raiser of your boy, sit her down over a coffee and trash out a plan for the next 3 months that keeps the door open with him but allows you to focus on you. I dont know her but, She sounds like she genuinely wants a good outcome for you all"
