Woke watch

Post arsene york-hunt »

"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

I think the reasons for the Farage bank account stuff will come out or quietly disappear. The other bank account nonsense will end up in a lot of action.Banks being the arbiters of ethics or values is about the biggest load of nonsense you could ever dream up.

"Debs no doubting he is a charlatan, it's probably how he got to become an MEP, but what he spoke out on about the EU obviously had some credence as there was very little in the way of counter argument and it led to Cameron having to include a referendum into his manifesto to help him get in as sole leader....."

BRANDED except he'd been telling porkies up until it was revealed he just went under their threshold for the amount of money needed to have an account at COUTTS and was offered an alternative account. He'd originally tweeted implying that his account had been closed for political reasons when he'd claimed they'd closed It for no reason when he knew perfectly well a reason had been given. Bloke couldn't walk in a straight line. Shame though he had threatened to leave the country. Maybe he could have gone to the USA where he attracted packed out audiences.....oh.

If this was happening in China the left wing would be up in arms but their silence speaks volumes. Anything from Neville or Lineker?

"A High Street bank has blocked a gender-critical parents group from opening a new account amid a row over its political views. Metro Bank refused to open a new business account for Our Duty, a group of more than 2,000 parents who believe that it is harmful for transgender children to undergo a medical transition. The group’s founder, Keith Jordan, claimed that a manager told the group it could not open a business account because “the content of your website conflicts with the culture and ideas we are pushing”. The not-for-profit group’s website says it supports parents who believe children coming out as transgender could suffer mentally or physically from transitioning. It marks the latest in a wave of Brexit supporters and gender-critical commentators to claim their accounts have been closed with no explanation after Nigel Farage said last week his account was being shuttered. Mr Farage on Tuesday warned he would sue Coutts for breaching his privacy after reports that the prestigious bank had closed his accounts because he had insufficient funds."

joe I know she repeated it on Talksport in a discussion with Simon Jordan but understood her original comment may have been on social media Written and spoken then A decent journalist would ask Pep to confirm this when he next appears at a press conference And quiz Arteta at the Rice unveiling

Loves a bit of publicity does Dale Vince. Note it’s only “ caretaker “ because he doesn’t want to be known as the first chairman to sack a female manager.

"When you pick apart what Aluko is saying, it makes zero sense. Simon Jordan tried to but she batted it away with “well it’s different in women’s football” and this “it’s communication not manipulation” mantra. Glib, and doesn’t really mean anything. Just think about it. Why would Pep do Arsenal - last season’s closest challengers to his side - any favours. Would Man City sanction that bid under those circumstances? Of course not. It makes absolutely no sense at all. To question this logic is boringly, and predictably, branded as racist and misogynistic. What a glorious time to be alive."

The Arsenal board could say they were the only real bidder in the room so West Ham would have compromised and accepted £90m odd. So if this is true then they could sue Pep for the extra £15m. And Man City could sack Pep for fraudulently putting their capital at risk with a fake bid. What SHOULD happen is that Pep should sue her for libel and BESMIRCHING his reputation in the world of football. As should Arteta because she is saying he embezzled an additional £15m out of the Arsenal board. See you in court

"So basically according to her experience of things like this, albeit at a presumably lower level, would be that normal practice would see the winners of the league placing false bids, in order to save the club that finished second money? Yeah, surely everyone including Paddy Kenny should see that now."

Simon Jordan knocked her big time on Talksport for her comments about City just bumping the price up for Rice. Not sure how she was a footballer let alone a pundit. Watched parts of that Soccer Aid game and she just stands up front and when she gets the ball just runs into people. Mind you she did say Jimmy Greaves was her favourite footballer for the hat-trick he scored in a World Cup Final!

"I would have thought that by far the most effective way of letting a business - ANY business - know that you disapprove of (some of) their practices is to take your custom elsewhere, rather than let a bunch of agenda driven drama queens get all shouty on your behalf. Their customer loyalty/churn management processes will pick up on it soon enough and report back to the shareholders. Likewise if your benefits or pension supplier acts in a manner or which you disapprove, find another."

"The majority of High Street banks are members of diversity schemes run by the controversial charity Stonewall, The Telegraph can reveal. Lenders are facing questions over their links to the charity amid a backlash over closing the bank accounts of some people with gender-critical views. A vicar who questioned his building society’s Pride branding had his account closed, while a Scottish blogger believes action was taken by his bank over his stance on gender issues. Stonewall’s Diversity Champions scheme includes guidance to employers on gender-neutral spaces and the use of pronouns. The company also runs a top 100 index that measures employers on diversity and inclusion. HSBC, which allows customers to register as gender-neutral, is the top ranking bank in Stonewall’s annual Equality Index, and Natwest, which is still one-third owned by the Government, is linked to the charity. Barclays, which offers private medical cover for employees transitioning, and Nationwide, which encourages staff to use pronouns in email signatures, are also among Stonewall’s top 100 employers. Santander is a member of the index, while TSB is a member of the Diversity Champions Scheme. Lloyds Banking Group, which runs its own branches as well as Halifax and Bank of Scotland, was the only major lender to fail to respond to queries about the scheme, but was previously named as the country’s top employer by Stonewall."
