Woke watch

Post arsene york-hunt »

"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"Darlo Debs 9:03 Fri Jul 21 'Surf yes of course I apologise for believing information available at that point' That's not what happened though, is it? You choose to believe the story from Coutts/Nat West, the literal epitome of both big business and privilege against the word of Farage, the victim of what is now acknowledged by the bank to have been malpractice. You should be ashamed of believing the bastion of privilege above their customer and even more ashamed at your mealy-mouthed non-apology."

"Banks handle money on behalf of customers. Their only consideration should be commercial. However, politics might affect customers decisions and I’d be curious to know if their was any pressure by wealthier customers at Coutts to remove Farrage. Would n’t surprise me."

The CEO of Natwest just happened to be sat next to the BBC journalist at a dinner a few nights before the story broke.

"Fo, where that falls short though is they won’t name and shame it’s many other account holders who are just the same…..Farage is ten’a’penny on affluent folk who have made their crust in devious ways….yet a certain section only want to see Farage pulled up for telling the truth about his time as an employee of the EU parliament…."

Far be it for me to stick up for Coutts (which cancels the vast majority of folk simply because they are not rich enough - an irony lost on the usual suspects here) its description of Farage as a 'disingenuous grifter' is as wonderfully lyrical as it is true.

"The bank haven't offered to re open Sir Nige's account which is the very least they should be doing. And is anyone really surprised that the BBC have been caught lying again? While enough gullible people hang on every word these cunts say, they'll keep doing it. Anyone see Sir Kid Starver on Kuensberg last week? Fuck me, is this wooden flip flopping clown really going to be our next 'leader'? Think I'd prefer Rayner,at least she seems to have some guts and working class credentials."

Quite clear to me that notwithstanding Farage not entirely fulfilling the criteria to hold a particular Coutts account that Bank chose not to indulge him because of who he is. For this reason everyone at the top of the BBC needs sacking.

"That Coutts dossier is pretty damning. We now have documentary evidence that Coutts had been plotting for years to close Farage's account for political reasons. Realising that Farage would very publicly cry foul, they concocted a plan whereby they could pretend they were closing his account on economic grounds - essentially by refusing, for no good commercial reason, to renew his mortgage. it's an absolute shit-show, so bad that heads will actually roll all over the place. Except at the BBC, of course, who deliberately spread the lie that the account was closed for purely financial reasons. I expect Debs will be on to make her apology any time now."

"Not sure why but the EU has decided that ""Falkland Islands"" is not acceptable? Brexit or racism towards Argies perhaps! . Brussels supported the Argentina-backed declaration referring to Islas Malvinas at a summit of EU leaders with Latin America and the Caribbean (Celac) leaders on Tuesday, which Buenos Aires called a “diplomatic triumph”."

Personally I don’t mind women’s international football. Although it would be more enjoyable if they were not allowed to wear any type of sports bra or undergarment.

"I suspect most ""grown men"" have worked out, by now, how to not watch something. It's a higher issue than simply that. Woman's football is promoted with a false importance virtually everywhere sport is the subject under discussion - Look at the ""Football"" page on the BBC News website and they will have found a reason to mention it at least once in preference to a similar situation involving the men's game at that technical (rather than administrative) level. Their results page ranks it even more important than everything except the Premier League. Give it it's own section, for fuck's sake; at least they can then get a true picture of it's popularity through the page access count. Doubt they'll get the box-ticking answer they so need, though. As was mentioned earlier, it's also got a false importance rating on many of the search engines; roughly a year/eighteen months ago it barely made the first page of a search simply for ""football"". Now it dominates the top of the search and I know I've no search history for ""women's football"", so why has it suddenly become something the search engine thinks I believe is so important and what I really wanted to read about, anyway?"

This year I have surpassed my 10 year streak of not watching a single game of Wimbledon tennis by not watching a single point. I do know two people who didn't win the men's tournament. I don't know who won it and I don't know who won or lost the women's or either of the doubles. Does this make me homophobic?

Why are grown men so upset about women’s football. Just don’t watch it if ye don’t fancy it.
