At its core Australia is a very conservative insular culture & this result was obvious from a long way out. What happens next? Who knows? The Conservatives dont have an alternative plan apart from more of the same & the PM's reputation and standing have been severely damaged."

Then followed up by stuff that actually looked divisive in nature which didn't go down well, then we had a series of anyone questioning the proposal being branded racist and many of the aboriginals themselves not happy with the proposal, but the government would not listen and pressed ahead. Now they can't understand how it convincingly got rejected, all pretty sad really IMO."

"I agree with him to an extent. Professional commentators and pundits like a Gabby Logan etc do a great job. The issue comes when female ex players make comments like “I’ve played in big games like this” or “when you are at the highest level I know this type of pressure” etc - they are not talking from a point of authority of reference and we all are supposed to believe them. It’s a bit odd. That being said, some of the female ex pros who really love the game and aren’t obviously focussed on their media career and image do a good job.
