"I agree Morph it was brilliantly done. What with it being a sort of prequel for BB the destination of the character arcs, etc is arguably easier as they know the destination, its just a matter of what journey they take to get them there."

"The whole thing just felt so well planned and written, they knew exactly the arc for each character and where they wanted it to go. So many great scenes!"

"morph - Not sure I'd go that far, but just brilliant tv, it's amazing how much you buy into the characters and the story lines. That call from the phone box in the outback, surreal stuff."

Watched The Fall recently. Clearly made by someone who has a boner for Gillian Anderson.

"SW - Agree they are good but wouldn't go OTT about them, thought the first series was a lot better than the second, Aubrey Plaza aside :-) Anon - Yea I now, but there is a difference between unlikable and awkward, but he's a good character don't get me wrong. I think Logan can be likable, and you can find yourself rooting for him over his kids."

"Watched both series of the White Lotus recently and loved it, two totally different series and almost totally different casts but so well written. Season two has a nod to West Ham’s visit to Sicily back in the day with a nutter of a West Ham Essex boy coke head bowling through the streets of Palermo off his face belting out a chorus of Bubbles. Apparently the Yank writers knew something about the history of the trouble our fans had out there years ago when they wrote the character story line. Top quality cast and script though."

"Matthew McFadyen (aka the next Mr Ratched) usually plays upper or middle class, buttoned-up types. And does so incredibly well. He is having a blinder playing against type in Succession. I'm only on the second series."

"Even though they don't really have anything in common, Slow Horses reminds me of Succession a lot, as in they're both serious dramas but also funnier than most sitcoms. Gary Oldman is superb in it."
