NFL (since 2016)

"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Buffalo are a strange team. Allen is a talented QB - but 'some' folk think he relies on his natural talent and doesn't work/study hard enough to be Mahomes-level good or consistent. Even though he has a cannon for an arm. Equally, their WRs are odd: people like Diggs are similarly talented, yet a few too many of them don't seem to really put their bodies on the line to get open. You sometimes get the feeling they're going through the motions, rather than busting a gut. The whole thing is hard to describe until you watch them. If they 'click' on a particular day and catch fire, then they're hard to handle. But you definitely get days with them where they're flat as an entire unit and they all seem to be looking at somebody else to be the spark that then doesn't happen. Maybe that's down to the players, or the coach. Or both. I don't know."

"Chiefs and Buffalo would be great. Have to say I think Buffalo are hitting stride at the right time. (Now I've said that, they will lose later) As for the Cowboys, just keep doing what they are doing. They can keep anointing themselves champions in waiting for as many Septembers as they wish, as long as they keep failing in January. 28 years and counting.... Not sure you'll ever top that Romo botched field goal hold for pure comedy though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPuhwAIzrYk"

"The hit on Higbee (Rams Tight end) was pretty nasty. Took out his knee. It looks like a serious injury. Niners are rested and healthy. Green Bay's offense looks like a handful, the defense not so much. Nice to see the Cowboys and Rams go out yesterday. Chiefs and Buffalo next week would be a hell of a game. Stroud and Love have both shown they are ballers, fans of each franchise should be happy. Some interesting coaching vacancies to be had and some interesting prospects floating around.Harbaugh to the Chargers seems to be gathering momentum and Belichick to the Falcons according to Gronk. Although the Cowboys could be looking to replace McArthy which would leave Quinn out there for the Seahawks job perhaps?"

"Warm weather teams always get a bit of a raw deal come the playoffs if they don;t get home field advantage, travelling to places where what they do well is often compromised, and against teams well used to it. You have to really be a better team to overcome that sometimes. But I guess that's exactly why home field advantage is such a great reward for being the best during the regular season."

"Pleased for the Lions - first playoff win since 1992. Gotta say that Dallas' playoff meltdown (although it was as much about how well the Packers played) was predictable. Sorry, Norf, as I know your brother throws everything at that job - and rightly so. Some good looking matchups in the next round. But almost every side seems to have a long list of injuries at the moment - a few more than 'normal' for this late stage of the season. At this rate, any superbowl is going to involve some of us."

Stafford hurt his shoulder on his throwing side. Doesn't look good. Possible concussion too.

Takashi Miike 1:19 Just like his similarly comically overrated predecessor Romo. Cannot believe how much love that bloke got and still gets for being a career choker.

Good start from dallas!! You know you have defensive issues when you let the very average Aaron Jones get 2 TD's in about 5 minutes.
