NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Bizarre though it sounds, I thought the Buccs win against Philly was the most predictable of the play-off games over the weekend. The wheels fell off the Eagles' season weeks ago. Lost five out of their last six regular season games, whereas Baker Mayfield rallied the Buccs to five out of six wins. Mayfield is a decent NFL quarterback. Have said for years, even while he was bombing in Cleveland, that if you give him even half-decent targets and a line, he will give you a top-half (league-wise) performance. He's never going to be a top-three QB, but he's significantly better than people realised after the graveyard of Cleveland. He has good accuracy and a ""fuck you"" attitude - a resilient fucker. It's Mayfield v Goff in the divisional round. Quite a story behind that game."

"RBshorty 1:24 Tue Jan 16 I agree, I've been a closet Lions fan since mid-October I'm not surprised by Dallas or Philly flunking, their 12-5 and 11-6 records are bolstered by 4 gimme wins against the Redskins and Giants"

Bills making hard work of it in the second half. Steelers getting themselves back into it...

"Bills currently having one of their 'on fire' days, clearly! Allen has stepped up tonight. It's weird - they look so good when they have self-belief. They looked panicked against even the Jets in September, when our defense got to them."

"stewie griffin 9:37 Mon Jan 15 Not much of a comparison. One is probably the biggest singer on the planet, the other (and I'm probably showing my age here) is someone I've never heard of. It's like comparing Ed Shearon with ray winstone (off here)."

"Lee Trundle¬†5:28 Mon Jan 15 Re: NFL (since 2016) Nowhere near as much fuss around hailee steinfeld when she goes to see josh Allen. Possibly because she doesn't parade around like an attention seeking cսnt? In other news, tough to call which was the most predictable outcome of the weekend; Dak Prescott throwing a bunch of picks that killed his team in the playoffs, or the LOLphins failing to trouble a team with a record over .5"

"Nutsin 2:05 Mon Jan 15 From what I've read, Quinn is already lined up for an interview. Although the coaching situation will obviously change as the play-offs progress - and no team can approach a coach in the play-offs until the Championship games are done"

"I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for Taylor Swift. I reckon even she is probably sick of all the attention she's getting, and probably just wants to be a girlfriend at the game supporting her boyfriend."

Thanks! That's him. Seems like a lovely guy. Hasn't posted for a few weeks by the look of it so hopefully he's well.

"Bloody loved that play. All the sweeter (sorry to the nice guy who supports the Saints- cant remember his name and actually is he still around?) that it happened to the Saints. Dirty buggers. Amazingly at the time at least, it was the first game in NFL playoffs history to end in a touchdown as time expired."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Still it's good to see the Lions in the playoff picture out of the Black and Blue division, except it's more a Black and Poo division these days"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Hahaha! That was a great moment for the Vikes, no question. BUT it is also one of the worst attempts at a tackle by an NFL cornerback I have ever seen. I still can't believe it to this day. Watch it back, and just watch the CB and what he does. He doesn't just take his eye off the ball, he also takes his eyes off the receiver, puts his head down, stares at the ground, and goes straight UNDER the receiver while he's in the air. It's absolutely pathetic. Any sort of contact on Diggs at that point and he would go down and it would marked as a first down and nothing more. If he stands up and makes the hit on contact, he might even knock the ball loose. Instead, the div goes straight under the receiver! Love it, though. Great moment."

"It seems to me to be a lack of real leadership in ""clutch"" moments. Possibly even a lack of belief in those moments. Kansas have it with Reid and with Mahomes. Buffalo have yet to prove it."
