Seeing this article is talking about genuine asylum seekers, they are not illegal. In fact, illegal migrants are more likely to arrive in the country on a plane, with a student visa, go and work in their cousin's Indian restaurant or market stall (One pound fish guy) and go nowhere near a university, than make a dangerous journey on a rubber dingy across the sea.

Why do you think that prisons are full to overcrowding, NHS waiting times can now be measured in eons or the roads and railways are struggling to cope with the demands of users?

'Asylum Seekers' should seek said 'Asylum' in the nearest safe country to the one they are fleeing persecution in. Funny how most manage to cross any number of countries to end up in the UK. Is France persecuting them? 

Same in he USA, 'Asylum Seekers' are coming from all over the world. 'Asylum' is a term that's abused, when all these people want is a piece of the welfare pie (and I cant blame them for it really)

Someone's parroting off the incorrect crap they heard from Farage or Tommy many names or the usual far right agitators. There is no legal requirement that asylum seekers can only claim asylum in the nearest country. In fact, most do seek asylum in nearer countries than us and we get far fewer of them than mainland Europe.
