Because of Nuno's lack of urgency getting points on the board and approach to games, it will now effect what we do in the Jan window as the better players will not be interested in joining. So he's going to struggle to convince good enough player's to join with us right in the shit in the bottom 3. It would take some serious dough to convince half decent players signing in our current predicament with Man City next. 

Yep - if we’re in touch with the sides who are 17th and 16th etc, then we’re in the mix and players will want to join in January.

But if we’re six points or more below the 17th placed side, we’re in serious shit and it will limit our options. Decent potential signings won’t join a side that’s adrift, and even possible loans will be wary (if their side seek obligations etc.).

Then that would say everything if it didn't bother him and not beat himself over getting us relegated. He should feel equally to blame should that happen, just as it did when Grant took us down. 2 wins (1 convincing) in 11 is a shocking return considering how early in the season it's still been and the run of winnable fixtures he's had consisting of. Even Liverpool and Man Utd are nowhere like the Teams they once were.

Ultimately, we’re just not a good side or squad. And that’s down to the owners, late-era Moyes, Lopetegui, Potter and now (coaching-wise) Nuno.

We’ve just been a poorly run club for too long and it’s catching up with us.

We fight on, of course. But, ultimately, if this side and ownership are relegated I don’t think I’ll be that surprised or pissed off. With the exception of Bowen and the kids who came through the ranks, I can’t say I feel any connection with this squad. Most of them are poor (yet very rich) mercenaries and it has been a while since we had a manager I liked.

Since then I think he's been coasting with little urgency to turn things around. The proof? Which I keep reading are good points, which they are in isolation but not when they become a trend and not when we can't win at home. But today we were OK to good against a very good team.

Realistically, we’re not going to sack Nuno this season.

Once appointed, he was always going to get January’s transfer window to try to cut some deals and unpick the shit he inherited from arguably our worst ever manager (contender with Grant and Roeder).

Nuno hasn’t done well. I’ve never been a fan of his. But the squad he inherited was relegation fodder. He’s improved them slightly and, rightly, picked some of the kids. To ditch him before the summer would be nuts - any new manager would have all the teething issues he’s faced and no time to plan a transfer window.

I’m just not sure how much room for manoeuvre we have. Some of these massively underperforming players (Paqueta, Kilman, Fullkrug (when fit) etc - it’s a long list) have to start putting in far better performances. Too many have been very poor for a long time.

His treatment and handling of our main decent Striker is a piss take since arriving. Fancy chucking him on as an after thought near the end of the game with 9 minutes left chasing the game. After that, we’ve got Fulham and then Brighton at home before the transfer window opens. It’s getting to the stage where we might need to win both of those home games. What are our chances?

Having played in Europe mid-week, Villa we’re there for the taking today. Especially after going a goal up within 30 seconds.

It’s extremely disappointing to lose all three points from there. The mentality and quality is still missing.

Said it before the season started and nothing has changed my mind: I still think we’re watching a relegation team. And not just because we’re in 18th place: it’s just hard to see where clean sheets and wins will come from right now.

It’s a little better than under Potter. Because he was a devastatingly shite manager. But the “bounce” under a better coach (Nuno) hasn’t been great. We’re still a side and squad with deep problems.
