27th Dec 2025: The day we dropped.
Hold the fire sale now while can still try and get PL level fees and give the academy boys some experience?
Or piss more money away on mercenary shite to be sold for buttons in 6 months?

I doubt it. He's done a few WHOicides only to return a few weeks later. You're right though. It's like he's 7, jumping up and down in the school playground singing "I told you so, I told you so, I told you so". And if you can remember back that far, no one liked that kid.
I almost feel sorry for him.

Anyway, will make getting to and from games easier. No more tourists, crowds of 30-35,000. Just the thought of payimg for a season ticket while Sullivan and Brady remain in charge is hard to stomach
Re: 27th Dec 2025: The day we dropped.
Thing is we invested well in Diouf, Fernandes and imo the best of the lot Magassa. KWP was a decent free fir the squad.
But the requirements were huge and covered forwards, midfield, defence and goalkeeper just for the first 11. The squad back up needed bolstering too.
So its been a cummulative effect of bad and insufficient recruitment.
But sorry, for me, it all lands on an owner who actively meddles and has veto on every decision. This is not an “arms length” owner. There is no strategy or long term plan of what the club wants to be or aims to get to. Hence no organisation and infrastructure to get there or philosophy or requirements driving the recruitment. If we had set up a 5-10 year plan to become an attractive, possession based team that looks to a nucleus of younger, developing players augmemted by home grown youth that would be a plan. The profile of players would be athletic, fast, physical. Scouting snd data analytical requirements set accordingly. training facilities and a stadium to build revenues etc . The club would accept it needs to sell some too as part of the plan, it would recruit a manager and coaching team tuat shated the ideals, appoint a DOF, head of football and analytics team all sharimg same goals. Year on year aim to grow the squad, build the nucleus. We have been in triage mode for 12 of the last 15 seasons under Sullivan and with no long term plan. A perfect recipe for wasting milti millions and achieving little progress. Sullivans plan was no more than transactional and revolved around property. Sell the fixed assets, rent a stadium and throw money with no aim . A complete, unmitigated failure in every sense aside from one 3rd tier euro competition and a night in Prague.
we need people with brains and intelligence, experience of success to take over running the club not the quarter wit Sullivan and his sychophantic assistant Brady a fraud when it comes to business

Yesterday reminded me of West Ham 0 Southampton 1 back in 2002. I listened to that on the wireless and knew that night we were going down.

Its genuinely fucking tragic that we ended up with David Sullivan.
It's tragic for his mum that she ended up with David Sullivan. There can't be anywhere on the planet that his presence has bettered. A ugly boil on the human race.

Re: 27th Dec 2025: The day we dropped.
Years ago on a football show on the radio, they had someone (can’t remember who), who was a very heavy investor in F1 on, talking about clubs who hadn’t as yet been taken over and they asked him if he’d ever thought about investing.
Said he wouldn’t touch football, but if he was that way inclined, he thought Man City and West Ham were the two with the most potential, beating in mind fanbase.

Factually, you’re right, but I the it feels like the blow we can’t recover from.
Re: 27th Dec 2025: The day we dropped.
The season we won the conference, we were shit and only guaranteed premier league status a couple of weeks before the final.
I was fantasising about being in the championship and the europa league at the same time.

The ones who we want rid of no matter what will go in this window.
Then the ones who want to leave if we get relegated will go in the summer.
Not sure which one Paqueta falls into.
We have a few who would probably make good championship players who aren't up to scratch in the PL.

This has been a slow death over a 2 year period. Today has just made obvious what some have seen for a while.
Re: 27th Dec 2025: The day we dropped.
Really doesnt matter what Sullivan and Brady do. It will be short term thinking and make things worse. Its what they do, like Trump, they fvck thimgs up but blame everyone else. The signature of narcissists
