Not many characters like Jack left no more .and he was one of many back then.
Clint Eastwood the only one left in Jacks league still standing .?

Heard all the hype so thought I'd give Sinners a go. Have to be honest was bored throughout. Personally seen better vampire efforts like the original tv Salem's Lot, John Carpenters Vampires and the mentioned below From Dusk Till Dawn which is still the most Wtf did I just watch film ever. May not have helped not being a fan of the music either so just not my thing.

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 - 2025)
Any of you watched Bugonia , thought that was a decent film and a good black comedy . Emma stone very good as usual and the 2 conspiracy theorists played by jesse lemons and Aidan Delbis make it feel pretty real. The weird copper and Alicia Silverstone as a sick mum the only notable other actors really , so a lot of crazy dialogue.

Not sure what to make of Rami Malek, he seems to play the same character in whatever film he is in. Not sure how historically accurate it is but it's woth a watch.
Agreed on Malek, he does play that introverted awkward character a lot but he's never really going to play a charismatic comedic or romantic lead. Playing Freddy is about as close as he's going to get to that and don't really think he nailed it other than the actual performing parts, which he admittedly did great in.

Yea I agree, it was decent
I didn't like the over the top cursing , which seems endemic now.

I feared the worst with Crowe as Goring , but TBF he did a reasonable job .
Goring was a highly intelligent man , as was Speer , but obviously you can't mention that.
At least this film didn't go down the obvious route and do a full on hatchet job .
Goering was a very brave air ace in WWI. He downed 22 planes. People only really identify as the overweight morphine addict of WWII this being a result of injuries as a flier and in the Munich Putchz.
His biggest error was convincing Hitler the Luftwaffe could supply Paulus'; 6th army encircled at Stalingrad. They never got a fraction of the supplies they need. Maybe cost Germany the war.

Was OK.Not much action really. In fact I recon all their budget went on Affleck and Damon.

Yeah same, felt a bit slow going but it’s a great premise.
Also I watched 28 years later - the bone temple. Just a bizarre extension of the first one, but entertaining enough.

Just know it's one of those, like Black Panther, that is overhyped because it was made by and stars black people. It had an air of menace about it early doors where you thought there might be some extreme violence but it didn't happen, then in a heartbeat it just went all silly with the vampires or whatever they're called.
Never gave Black Panther the time of day, could clearly see it was going to be utter tripe.
Re-watched Play misty for me, a bit dated now but still good.Great film, was on when I got home from my eldest daughter being born, which is how she got her name Misty.

Wow, really. Yes brilliant film hence why I re-watched it. The lady who played his girlfriend is still alive.
Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 - 2025)
I watched Nuremberg and was surprised that given the cast is pretty stellar, containing the already mentioned Crowe, Woodall, Malik and also Michael Shannon who is good in everything he does, it hadnt received more hype and promotion. it just kind of went under the radar a bit it felt. Good film but in places felt like it had been cheaply made so maybe they blew all the budget on the cast as there wasnt much in the way of cinematography apart from basic stuff and some of the sets looked a bit wooden and cheap but on the whole a good film that should have got more attention.
