Potential boycott of World Cup over Greenland!
Apparently its being looked at and some politician's actively seeking a boycott unless the orange man backs down on Greenland!
Why is sport always used in this way, most notably the Olympics, but now maybe football.
As much as i think Trumps plans are bonkers at best and he should respect what Greenlanders want, if football gets used as a political tool by Europe then that's equally fucked up.

Rising tensions between the United States and Europe over Donald Trump’s aggressive pursuit of Greenland have prompted European leaders to explore a range of retaliatory measures, including a potential boycott of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.
According to British media, the prospect emerged as Trump announced tariffs on eight European nations—Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark—over their involvement in Greenland, a move critics have described as coercive and unprecedented.

Well, governments could always, individually, suspend the passports of players representing any country which Trump is targeting with tariffs.
That is most definitely not an "act of God"/ force majeure, as the maverick acts of Trump, particularly over Greenland, and potential responses, were entirely predictable, so insurance should kick in to cover fan's financial losses.

Thinking about it, it would only be the fans who would suffer from a boycott, and FIFA, sure the Americans may lose a bit if tourists revenue but most Americans if they side with Trump or not don’t follow or give much of a shit about football
Brits and Europeans on the other hand???
Mind you when have our governments given a shit about football fans?

It won't happen it's just a weak attempt to exert power by the weak, impotent, and ultimately powerless collective of soy fed, WEF/China owned, closeted, geriatric tranny fucking, wanky European liberal piss rag leaders.

People have booked flights, hotels, tickets, everything is all set up, so using pretending to boycott is a useless tool.
Well i would like to think you are right, but especially if Trump does go wading into Greenland uninvited its almost odds on for them to call for a boycott. The Americans are one main host of this WC so be a bit hard to ban them, especially with FIFA sucking up too them! So a boycott is the only option?
Do you trust Starmer, Macron and Zee Germans to not use football as a tool? Not like they have anything else to threaten the Septics with is it?

Re: Potential boycott of World Cup over Greenland!
If it is boycotted it could be the end of the World Cup as it will lead to everyone doing from then on. It works when there was a Western hegemony but as the world order breaks down and we all split into factions, those factions will find a reason to boycott every tournament from then on.

It makes perfect sense.
Everything that mutes the orange gorilla. Football should not be spared. How stupid isn't it to keep playing football matches when there is a war ongoing. Wake the fuck up!
