I suppose because Barking is in our catchment area, we've picked up a few 2nd generation balkan fans with some interesting new insults for visiting players

Was the N word a Norman Wisdom?

Found this on Wiki:

During a game between Austria and North Macedonia at the UEFA Euro 2020, immediately after scoring a goal, Austrian forward Marko Arnautović—who is of paternal Serb descent—shouted to Macedonian players Ezgjan Alioski and Egzon Bejtulai—both Macedonian Albanians—"Jeb'o sam ti majku šiptarsku" (Serbian for 'I fucked your Shiptar mother'). He was punished with suspension for the next game against Netherlands.

The most ridiculous thing is that the referee actually stopped the game because a millionaire footballer couldn't take some bantz from the crowd.

It sounds like he was probably called a "Shiptar" which is pretty much the equivalent of "a dirty pikey" which is a derogatory term aimed at ethnic Albanians.

So, will a "Xhaka moment" become a "thing?  Add "#" where needed.

I read that one of ours shouted that Cadburys was much better than all that 'gay Toblerone shit'  and that cuckoo clocks are only for nonces. Mr Xhaka the part time tough guy was naturally affronted by this and demonstrated this by gesticulating in an extremely camp manner.

Maybe he recognised a Serb in our end and decided to flick the V's at him...or vice-versa.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility

I guess he was racially abusing a white fan as he was with a white British Airways employee when told his friend was too late to check in for a flight
