Manuel Paco Jemez Martin

Post honky cat »

New first team coach.
The camera went on him a couple of times during the game, looks very up for it and animated. When kilman was subbed on he appeared to have a fucking meltdown with Nuno. Has he started the revival? Is he being lined up as nuno's successor if we go down?

They haven't coached together before but were teammates at real vallecano. Sacked as Ibiza manager in November.

He's also managed a team called Tractor in Iran. And he's related to Alvin (might not be true).

I like him already. A lot.

Extra defenders just get in each others way
Was it the Newcastle game when Igor went on and played in front of the defence?
I would have sent Magassa on and told him to put his foot in in midfield & get some control
Dont defend deep, play in the other teams half
They can’t score when we have the ball in the final third

A better performing team than Sunderland would have taken better advantage, fuck me if the flukey shot went in we were there to be beaten. Nuno can’t help himself, all very well defending a lead if we’ve the defence to do it, but we’ve proven time and again that we don’t. Anyone who thinks that Kilman is the answer to anything in a relegation dogfight needs their bumps felt, how can Nuno not see that Kilman is a cowardly cսnt that only gives the opposition hope?
I would never argue taking forwards off and replacing with defenders to defend a lead.
However, to be fair to Nuno, they scored minute 66 and Nuno made the 1st sub minute 70. Therefore, you should have said the starting line up finished 3-1 and the score with the subs was 0-0.

I think thats been the problem, i would say potts and robson are solid enough coaches, but fence sitters. Like Howe has Tindall at Newcastle, the manager needs a brutally honest second opinion ditto Moyes and Irvine.

Anyway it seems paco lost it as they were about to take a corner . . .nothing to do with choice of sub.

Well, he wouldn’t be putting Kilman on if Sullivan stopped fannying about trying to loan reserve goalkeepers and obscure Venezuelans who won’t kick a ball for us this season and just put his hands in his pockets for a decent centre back. Hopefully this win will tip the scales on the ridiculous week to week transfer policy.

As for Paco, fair play to Nuno if he’s reflected on himself, brought someone in that’s going to make us better and give us more attacking impetus and question him/hold him accountable for decisions. It looks like a good move so far and better than only having the youth coach’s on the bench.

I always think you defend a lead by adding legs in midfield & an striker as an out ball not by putting more defenders on and inviting pressure
I see Bournemouth when under pressure brought on their new midfielder & striker & it paid off in the last minute

Well since Paco arrived we have been playing with 2 forwards in a lose classic 4-4-2, winning games and I'm loving it.

What are you sticking that useless bean poll cսnt on for? I’ve got a bollard we could lob Kilman’s shirt on that’d be more useful if you want?

Well, he is an advocate of front foot attacking football so we can only hope he has the influence to improve the current lot. He certainly isn't afraid to express his feelings.

He was a half decent centre half in the Spanish League as well. A steady eddie, not spectacular but very reliable. Like a Toyota Corolla.

He probably looks at Kilman and thinks "I've got my work cut out here, fucking hell!"
