As much as I still think we overpaid for him, and he's a limited all round player, a big moment in the match was at 1-0, there was a slight lull that always happens when we go in front early, and it could have gone stale, Taty went on a mad chase following the ball from our half, chased it up to their keeper, and flung himself at the ball, meaning the keeper launched it out of play.

It lifted the crowd, and the players, and got everyone revved up. A little thing, but it kept up momentum. He's no world beater, but he's setting a standard for hard work, and it's allowing our 2 best players, Jimmy & Jarrod, to be more of a threat as he's occupying the opposition defence.

A great performance and result. And some great goals also. Some absolute monster performances from lots of our players - Namely Summerville, Fernandes and Todibo (who is now looking like a top level player). 

I think the most pleasing thing for me was the atmosphere. Apart from a 15 min period between second half when we got edgy, the crowd were superb. 

Looks like Nuno may finally have found a combination that the players like. We looked comfortable for alot of that game.

Most important thing is the players now look like they aren't going out without a fight. Have got the crowd back on side and I am sure the away faithful will be loud at Chelsea. If we start well and on the front foot, who knows? 

Leeds and Spurs have absolute nightmare next 6 and so if we keep momentum up we could hunt them and Palace down who can't buy a win.

How the fuck did that goal get disallowed at the end? Soucek was pushed into the keeper by the Sunderland defender

I was sitting directly opposite that; I thought the ref was disputing whether the ball had gone over the goal line. or not. I know it is an automated signal that the ref gets if the ball crosses the goal line, so that had fucked up because there were just the normal six-yard box antics before the goal

I’m fairly sure Soucek was offside, anyway. 

I just wish Fernandes strike had gone in while Mavropanos and Alderete were having a straightener

I was going to 3-0 but thought we would concede, so I went with 3-1. I got the buzz again, thanks to a MATE, we got very good seats, I can get a shit seat for Man U, but I dont care where I sit for that match. I live in Canterbury, and I can get a train from Canterbury West to Stratford International

Slow start but for half an hour we were excellent harrying the Northern monkeys into error & taking out chances
Sat back too much in the second half but not really in great danger
Fernandes was excellent & thought our forwards worked overtime to keep them under pressure
Scarles was very good & we generally worked hard all over
Sunderland may have hit the wall but they are basically a long ball long throw team

Yes! The goal kick thing. Utterly bizarre and seems pointless. I don’t see what advantage it gives us. All it does is allow strikers to rush Areola and put his already weak kicking under more pressure. I guess it’s a ‘thing’ now but I don’t see the point of it.

He’s a player indeed. 40 million is starting to look very well spent.
