Carrying a gun around is completely crazy to me. However there is still no excuse for putting 10 bullets into a guy after you've taken that gun from him and while you have him pinned down.

He must have been familiar to the ICE people too and they must have known that he carried a piece thus they were aware of his lethal potential. There is at yet no footage of this bloke handling let alone brandishing his weapon but it baffles me as to why he went to a demo, allegedly to see fair play, with a pistol on his person.
your average American goes to the supermarket armed so I guess this isn't that unusual

As well as being an INTENSIVE CARE NURSE which they've kept ever so quiet about mentioning. Totally normal behaviour for such a profession in America.

Well if you've purchased and keep a gun in your home because you concerned by the threar of a home invasion or similar then you're probably never more vulnerable than when your in the shower, unless of course you're alseep, so it's a very practical course of action and not a bad idea.
Do you know what is a bad idea?
Taking a pistol to a larp when you intend to act the cսnt around armed law enforcement officers. FAFO.

Mr Anon, on the one hand they want to be isolationist and on the other rule the world.
Give 'em another century and they might grasp the difficulty of squaring those two concepts.

Cheers for the update. Good to hear how all these developing countries around the world are doing.
Anyone got the the shipping forecast?
I do, there’s a US Armada off the coast of Iran about to free the poor oppressed Persian people of 50 years
of agony.
Don’t worry though Starmer will soon announce Sharia law in the UK and you can all find out first hand what all the fuss is about.
Didn't you used to champion Trump for pulling the US out of other country's problems?

The US sends a fleet to the Persian Gulf to stop Iran murdering protesters, meanwhile back in the US they execute protesters.

Why did he feel the need to take a pistol to a peaceful protest?
And but MAGA did it isn't an answer.
As for guns, they are nothing more than inanimate objects incapable of causing harm without input from an operator, I could list many everyday objects that also fit that description.
If someone means to do harm they'll find away whether guns are available or not.
Banning them doesn't get rid of them as they quite ubiquitous even where banned, and fairly simple to improvise.
You say you "think all guns should be banned" but you that's probably not true because I doubt you've ever actually thought about it you've just been conditioned to accept it as fact.
contradiction then isnt it, didn't matter if he took a gun or a spoon, fairly simply to improvise
You do strike me as someone with the brains to bring a spoon to a gun fight.
But no, taking a spoon isn't remotely comparable.
Again though, why did he feel the need to take a modified sidearm to a peaceful protest?
It's not a trick question.

Yep, all tied into USAID.

The point I've made which your so keen to dance around but not touch is why he felt the need to take a specialised firearm to a "peaceful" protest. I never said a laser sight was " too much" I said it changes the nature of why the weapon is carried.
As for firearms in public I really couldn't care less, go fucking nuts, legalise stinger missles. I don't care.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
This typifies just how incompetent these Dems are.
The victims of the big fires that burned down Altadena and Pacific Palisades, (two extremely beautiful and wealthy areas in Los Angeles) are still waiting on building permits more than a year after the fires.
Governor Gavin Newsome who has his eye on running for President in 2028 has been absolutely horrific in this disaster.
So Trump announced that he is taking over and will provide immediate building permits and offer a 10% square footage bonus for those that want it. The increase in Sq Footage adds value for those that don’t know. Without Trump getting involved who knows how long these people will wait.
Truly shocking Governance. It really is beyond belief just how bad Newsome is.
Also the Feds are about to investigate fraud in the state too as Billions have disappeared for a speed rail project linking so cal to Nor cal, Billions have gone missing for the Homeless too. Don’t be surprised if the missing Billions were filtered through NGO’s. It’s becoming glaringly obvious that the NGO scam is the playbook they all use to rip off the tax payer.
