Fans banned for banner against Sunderland

Post Rossal »

3 fans have been given a 3 match ban for the banner against Sunderland.  Done for bringing in a banner/flag over a certain size and for no fire cert.

Would be no retribution if it was pro board or pro a player.   We need to get hundreds of flags in there all displaying anti board messages.

Absolute scum running our club.

Just hope nature takes it course and takes Sullivan to the ninth circle of Hell, which is exactly where he's headed once he pops it.
Fingers crossed pal

I would imagine that joining them would break the rule. So why join them? A dozen separate flags held up next to each other will work.

Or a LOT of blokes with one letter painted on their torso.

So if a dozen fans each bring in a 2m x 1m flag (with fire safety certificate), each carrying a partial message and - to help the visually impaired, (why else?) -  trimmed with a tactile material such as, say, Velcro, and in some sort of confusion, these 2m x 1m fire safety certified flags happen to end up joined together displaying a complete message, that would be allowed as no rules are being broken by any of the fans?

Why they bring a banner against Sunderland shouldn't it have been against the board..

Just saying like.

Thinking about it, if I were one of the two who didn't actually own it, then I'd be seeking legal advice

How can they ban 3 people for one banner? Did they have part shares, or maybe paid for individual letters?

Wils - most of the places selling flags always supply a fire cert.

Acceptable size would need to fit up Brady's snatch so I'll imagine quite large

Not that you would go anyway no matter who owned the club...How's the cave you horrible hermit

Keep up the banners and protest but boycotting isn't going to help the team

Solution: multiple pieces of banner within acceptable size, with fire certificate, stood side-by-side.

Couldnt agree more Rossal. But Sullivan and Brady are confident they can outlast the fan protests and / or introduce enough bans to quell protests. Sadly I think their determination to hang on is greater than most fans determination to get them out.
