Civil (sic) Servants and anyone who's income is paid for by the treasury should be called out for what they actually are - badge-engineered benefit claimants.

People who actually earn a living pay tax on those earnings and are net contributors to the treasury coffers.

All Civil Servants, any agencies set up to operate on their behalf and any contractor who's wages are paid from those same coffers are a drain on resources.

It's not the role of the Civil Service to dictate state policy - the clue is in their name.

Somebody could be thinking (and totally mis-reading) the longer game here.

Deliberately force an election with Reform (seen by the voters) as the only viable alternative, even though they've admitted they're not ready to govern yet.

Reform duly get in and the left-leaning state ensures that it's a guaranteed shit-show and they spectacularly fail, forced into calling a snap election.

One of the unpopular, well past their best before date, "traditional parties" steam in to power like a saviour white knight on a magnificent charger only for them to then simply continue fucking up the country because they won't (be allowed to) take the action the country needs.

Reform need some serious game theory strategies here to ensure Labour stay in for the full term so that they have a fighting chance of developing and delivering a mandate the voters actually want, not one the state think they should want.
