The shining light in an horrific season for the club as a whole.  A 3-1 win at Leeds the latest success.

If, as I fear / expect, we are playing Championship level next season, we will need a fair few to be capable of being part of our senior squad next season because finances suggest, like the disasterous relegation where we lost a golden generation and sold / released 16 players in a fire sale, we will soon be relying on the likes of Potts, Earthy, Orford, Kante, Meyers, Cummings, Lamadrid, Fearon etc to stop us doing a Leicester or Birmingham or Sunderland and dropping down further.

The game against Leeds has started and the club seem to have cut costs already .
No blog available despite them saying so.How To Follow...The game will be blogged live, while a live stream of the fixture will be available across the Club’s website and app. A match report, highlights and reaction will follow the full-time whistle.

Strong team.
Hooper
Briggs Lockyear Odyebade
Battrwum Fearon Orford Clayton
LaMadrid Landers Ajala

Yes, Hooper's save was absolutely top class.

Ajala on the bench is a no brainer for me. He has something about him and I love the way drifts into space.  I also thought the shot Hooper saved was in... but also that Ajala's strike was going a yard wide before it came back off the post. So much bend on it

I'd want to firm up that recently rumoured verbal agreement first though

Manuel
maybe he doesn't,maybe he does.
It's his reading off the game, set pieces, which we have a huge problem with, hit's the ball very well from distance,he reminds me of Beckham in many ways in his early days. He is often the player the set's the attacks off from just inside the opponent's half. He also scores quite a few goals.
All I'm saying is he's better being on the bench than a 3rd center back or 2 full backs who can cover defensively. Just the logic that Nuno refuses to use his subs means he doesn't rate his own signings.
It's an alternative.
Just to note I think Ajala,if given the right attitude could actually make more of a difference currently. He's better than LaMadrid, who may develop, scoring and contributing in every game. Liverpool's Ngumoha came on and made an impact when Liverpool looked dogshit.
What alternative's do we have to do something when urgenttly required. ?Not Kilman or Todibo coming on for sure.
2 subs not until the 72nd minute is to late, again. We looked knackered all over the pitch.

Got to mention Hooper who look assured and made a save the was stunning, thought it was in but he clawed it out brilliantly. Looked very composed for a young lad. We do have an abundance of fine keepers.
Fwiw, as my knowledge is limited, but what use would Orford be coming off the bench?? He doesn't strike me as someone who would benefit us if we need to score, or if we need to hang on to something?

Ajala a talent, he's been scoring and playing well all season even when the u21's are below strength. A better option than LaMadrid who it seems has found his way into the first team squad on the back of one performance.
The goal at the end showed his character, strength and speed to go 2/3rd's of the pitch and just walk the ball in.Clever to not try and shoot from further out on that dreadful pitch.
Great all round performance Orford,Fearon,Herrick,Briggs superb.
not sure about the sending off Lewis Brown through a punch but the Tamworth player wrsetled him to the ground, both players should have gone. L Brown 3rd sending off for having a go. He needs to go and lie down for awhile.Stupid.

I have a feeling it's the pathway that bothers him

He's seen Cummings and Landers come in and up until last Saturday, he's not had a sniff

I think he has a bit of Eze about him

he's a great finisher, has pace and for me should be an option off the bench for the first team while pablo's out. what the fuck sullivan and his pet noble are doing, only they know (unless he's been offered a derogatory offer and knows he can get better elsewhere)
